VERIFICATION SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE LATCH AND METHOD
A verification system for a vehicle latch is provided. The system includes a switch operable to determine if a vehicle door is ajar. The system also includes a cam operatively coupled to a power release mechanism that actuates movement of the vehicle latch between an opened and closed position, the cam in operable contact with the switch, the switch also determining if the vehicle latch is in a fully reset condition or an un-reset condition.
METHOD FOR SECURELY DETECTING A CLOSED POSITION OF A MOVABLE PART OF A VEHICLE
A method for detecting a closed position of a movable part of a vehicle, in particular an automatically operable vehicle, said method comprising the following steps: a control unit receives a first position signal from a first signal source as a first closure criterion which comprises at least one locking position of a vehicle lock for the movable part; the control unit adds a conditional test instruction to the received first position signal, wherein the conditional test instruction comprises checking for at least one second position signal as a second closure criterion after detecting the first position signal, wherein the first closure criterion is also satisfied; the control unit receives the second position signal from a second signal source as a second closure criterion, wherein the second signal source is different from the first signal source and the second position signal can be assigned to the movable part; the control unit outputs a confirmation signal when both closure criteria are satisfied.
Method for unlocking a hood of a vehicle
A method for unlocking a hood of a vehicle in which a latch and a safety catch are arranged for engaging a striker and a locking member is arranged for engaging the safety catch. The method includes displacing the safety catch if a predetermined vehicle condition is fulfilled from a closed state wherein the safety catch is in locking engagement with the striker to an open state where the safety catch is disengaged from the striker for moving the hood locking mechanism from the intermediate locked mode to an open mode.

Door latch, in particular motor vehicle door latch
A door latch and in particular a motor vehicle door latch, which is equipped with a locking mechanism consisting substantially of a catch and a pawl, further having at least one locking mechanism sensor to determine the closing/opening state of the locking mechanism, further having a control unit for evaluating signals of the locking mechanism sensors, and having a trigger sensor for opening the locking mechanism in an electro-motoric manner. According to the invention, a multiple operation of the trigger sensor regardless of the state of the locking mechanism sensor is implemented for opening the locking mechanism.

MOTOR VEHICLE CLOSING DEVICE
A motor vehicle closing device, which is provided with at least one closing element, e.g. a rotary latch and/or a pawl as components of a motor vehicle lock. At least one sensor unit is also provided, which detects movements of the closing element. According to the invention, the sensor unit is designed for three-dimensionally detecting the movements of the closing element.

Device for opening and closing tailgate
A tailgate opening/closing device has a simplified tailgate opening/closing structure, reduced manufacturing cost, reduced weight, and improved quality. The device includes a release gear configured to be rotated forwards and backwards by a rotational force from a motor, a cinching gear engaged with the release gear, a linkage mechanism configured to receive force from the cinching gear to rotate toward a claw, the claw being caught by the linkage mechanism to rotate together therewith so as to be engaged with a striker, and a pawl unit configured to be caught by the claw in the state in which the claw is engaged with the striker so as to restrict rotation of the claw and configured to allow rotation of the claw in a release operation direction only when the release gear rotates in the release operation direction.
