A vehicle lock device includes a base including an entry groove for entry of a striker, a latch that is supported on the base and pivots between a restraining position to restrain the striker and a release position to release the striker, a locking lever that is supported on the base, engages the latch and holds the latch in the restraining position, and a torsion spring that is arranged adjacent to the latch so that a first arm portion is located on the latch side, and that presses the striker rearward in an entry direction when the first arm portion comes into contact with the striker. The first arm portion of the torsion spring is bent or curved in an axial direction of a coiled portion so that a tip portion of the first arm portion is located on an inner side of the coiled portion in the axial direction.

A vehicle lock device includes a base including an entry groove for entry of a striker, a latch that pivots between a restraining position to restrain the striker and a release position to release the striker and also to allow entry of the striker, a locking lever engaging the latch and holding the latch in the restraining position, and a torsion spring that presses the striker rearward in an entry direction when a first arm portion comes into contact with the striker, and that applies an elastic force to the latch toward the release position when the first arm portion engages the latch. The first arm portion of the torsion spring is disengaged from the latch when the first arm portion is pushed down in the entry direction by the striker.

Vocational hood latch assembly

A latch assembly for a vehicle hood includes a hood mount securable to the hood. First and second recesses are formed in the hood mount. The latch assembly includes a cab mount assembly having a mounting bracket, a link, and a handle. The mounting bracket is securable to the cab, and the link has a first end rotatably coupled to the mounting bracket. The handle has a first end rotatably coupled to a second end of the link about a first axis. The handle further includes a trunnion extending laterally from each of two sides of the handle to define a second axis. As the latch assembly moves from an unlatched position to a latched position, each of the trunnions engages one of the first and second recesses in the hood mount so that the handle rotates relative to the hood mount about the second axis.

HOOD LOCKING DEVICE

A hood locking device includes a locking mechanism including two latches configured to fix an engine hood at a closed position by latching a striker included with the engine hood of a vehicle and unfix the engine hood by releasing the striker. One of the two latches includes one of a projection and a recess and the other one of the two latches includes the other one of the projection and the recess. The projection and the recess form a fitting portion and the projection is fitted to the recess. The two latches are pivotally supported by a base plate fixed to the vehicle and configured such that latching directions of the two latches for the striker are opposite to each other. One of the two latches includes a right-hand-drive operation cable attachment portion and the other one of the two latches includes a left-hand-drive operation cable attachment portion.

WORK VEHICLE
20210404225 · 2021-12-30 ·

A work vehicle includes an openable and closable bonnet that covers an engine and is rockable with respect to a body frame, a pin that is provided on the body frame side, and a lock that is provided on the bonnet side and is switchable between a locked state in which the bonnet is locked by the lock engaging with the pin and an unlocked state in which the bonnet is not locked by the lock not engaging with the pin.

ACTIVE PEDESTRIAN PROTECTION SYSTEM USING NON-CONTACT FORWARD SENSING AND HOOD LATCH ASSEMBLY WITH SPRING LOADED ACTUATOR
20210370864 · 2021-12-02 ·

A closure latch system and method for capturing, releasing, and recapturing a striker of a hood of a motor vehicle are provided. The closure latch system includes at least one power actuator configured for communication with at least one sensor. The at least one power actuator is actuatable in response to a signal from the at least one sensor indicating an imminent impact with a pedestrian to pivot the hood to a partially open position, and thereafter, to pivot the hood to a closed position in response to an indication of there being no impact from the at least one sensor.

DOUBLE PULL LATCHING SYSTEM FOR FRONT TRUNK OF A MOTOR VEHICLE
20220162887 · 2022-05-26 ·

A latch system includes a double pull latch, where a fully open state is achieved following two release actuations. A coupling assembly is disposed on an actuation cable between a release mechanism and the latch. The coupling assembly is in the form of a switch that blocks or allows a pull on the actuation cable to pass to the latch depending on a predetermined condition of the vehicle. The switch may include a connecting lever that is moveable into and out of coupling engagement between first and second portions of the actuation cable. The connecting lever may de-couple the cable portions only after a first actuation is complete, thereby allowing a partial opening of the trunk but preventing a fully opening if the predetermined condition is satisfied, such as exceeded a threshold vehicle speed.

Latch assembly having self re-latching feature

A latch assembly having primary position, a secondary position, and an unlatched position is disclosed. The latch assembly includes a striker and a retention member. A slot of the retention member is shaped to receive the striker when the latch assembly is in the primary position. The latch assembly includes a detent lever defining a catch configured to engage with the retaining feature of the retention member to secure the latch assembly in the secondary position. The latch assembly includes a linking member coupled to the detent lever, a memory lever moveable about a pivot axis, and a release lever. The memory lever defines a retention surface configured to engage with the linking member when the latch assembly is in the unlatched position. The release lever is rotatable about a shared axis of rotation and operatively connected to the memory lever when the latch assembly is in the unlatched position.

Hood retraction structure

Technology is provided which allows the amount of a hood protruding forward from a striker to be reduced at a normal time before the pop-up hood system is operated, and allowing the stroke when the front end of the hood rotates downward when the pop-up hood system is operated to be reduced, such that it is possible to effectively utilize the space. A hood retraction structure includes: a slider provided at a front side lower portion of a hood; and a rail that is provided on an upper portion of a striker body constituting a hood locking mechanism, movable in a longitudinal direction relative to the slider, and is longer than the slider in a length in the longitudinal direction. Retraction of the slider relative to the rail allows the hood to retract relative to the hood locking mechanism.
