Actuation cable device

An actuation cable device includes a left hood lock cable having an end connected to a left hood lock device; a right hood lock cable having an end connected to a right hood lock device; an opener cable having an end connected to a hood opener; and a link device including a rotatable link member to which second ends of the above-described cables are connected. The left hood lock cable and the right hood lock cable are respectively connected to an upper portion and a lower portion of the link member in a manner so that they extend from the link member toward opposite sides to each other. The opener cable is connected to the upper portion in a manner so that it extends from the link member toward an opposite side to the side toward which the left hood lock cable extends.

Motor vehicle door lock

A motor vehicle bonnet lock includes a locking mechanism which substantially consists of a rotary latch and a pawl. The locking mechanism interacts with a striker element on a bonnet. The lock further has an unlocking/opening mechanism for the bonnet, which mechanism is equipped with a release element provided in the interior of a motor vehicle body. It is required to operate the release element preferably twice to open the bonnet. The locking mechanism is transferred to a pre-latched position after the release element has been operated at least once, with the striker element still being trapped. The bonnet is opened from said pre-latched position by a movement in its longitudinal direction.

Latch assembly having self re-latching feature

A latch assembly having primary position, a secondary position, and an unlatched position is disclosed. The latch assembly includes a striker and a retention member. A slot of the retention member is shaped to receive the striker when the latch assembly is in the primary position. The latch assembly includes a detent lever defining a catch configured to engage with the retaining feature of the retention member to secure the latch assembly in the secondary position. The latch assembly includes a linking member coupled to the detent lever, a memory lever moveable about a pivot axis, and a release lever. The memory lever defines a retention surface configured to engage with the linking member when the latch assembly is in the unlatched position. The release lever is rotatable about a shared axis of rotation and operatively connected to the memory lever when the latch assembly is in the unlatched position.

A latch for a vehicle hood and method of construction thereof is provided. The latch includes a housing; a ratchet pivotally mounted on the housing and a pawl pivotally mounted on the housing for pivoting between a first position in locked engagement with the ratchet and a second position out of locked engagement with the ratchet, with the pawl being biased into the first position. A pawl lever is pivotally mounted on the housing to engage the pawl and rotate the pawl from the first position to the second position. A double pull lever having an abutment surface is pivotally mounted on the pawl lever. A safety catch member is pivotally mounted on the housing, wherein the safety catch member selectively engages the abutment surface of the double pull lever to pivot the safety catch member from a locked first position to an unlocked second position.

Latch with double pull for closure panel

A latch described herein comprises a ratchet movable between a primary closed position, a secondary closed position and an open position. The ratchet is biased towards the open position for facilitating travel of a striker in a fishmouth of the latch to the secondary closed position. The latch includes a pawl movable between a primary locking position, a secondary locking position and an unlocking position. The pawl is biased towards the primary locking position and has a pawl locking surface for holding the ratchet in the primary closed position and the secondary closed position. The latch includes a lift lever biased towards the open position for moving the striker in the fishmouth away from the secondary closed position and towards the open position when the pawl is in the unlocking position. The striker is further from the primary position when in the open position compared to the secondary closed position.

Unlocking device for a vehicle hood

An unlocking device has a release lever that is connected pivotably to a carrier element and is in each case connected via Bowden cables to a catch hook for clip elements in a vehicle hood. The catch hook is moved by the Bowden cables that are actuated via the release lever, counter to the spring force of a spring element into an unlocking position for opening the vehicle hood.
