CLOSURE LATCH ASSEMBLY WITH DOUBLE PAWL MECHANISM
A closure latch assembly for installation in a vehicle door and method of construction thereof is provided. The closure latch assembly has at least one ratchet, a primary pawl, and an auxiliary pawl. At least one ratchet is moveable between a striker capture position and a striker release position. The primary pawl is moveable between a closed position and an open position. The auxiliary pawl is moveable between a closed position and an open position. An auxiliary pawl release lever is moveable between a rest position, whereat the auxiliary pawl is located in its closed position and the primary pawl is located in its closed position, and an engaged position, whereat the auxiliary pawl is moved to its open position and the primary pawl is moved to its open position.

Lock
A lock includes a base and movable element connected to a handle operable by a user and movable between a first position corresponding to an open condition of the handle and a second position corresponding to a closed condition. An operating element is rotatably mounted on the base and connected to a device for releasing a closing panel, and is rotatable between a first position corresponding to an open condition of the panel and a second position corresponding to a closed condition. A transmission acts between the movable an operating elements and kinematically connects the movable and operating elements such that movement of the movable element causes rotation of the operating element. An uncoupling device acts on the transmission for disengaging kinematically, and in a controlled way, the movable element from the operating element to disable actuation of the operating element by the movable element.
VERIFICATION SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE LATCH AND METHOD
A verification system for a vehicle latch is provided. The system includes a switch operable to determine if a vehicle door is ajar. The system also includes a cam operatively coupled to a power release mechanism that actuates movement of the vehicle latch between an opened and closed position, the cam in operable contact with the switch, the switch also determining if the vehicle latch is in a fully reset condition or an un-reset condition.
VEHICLE DOOR LATCH DEVICE
A vehicle door latch device comprises an outside lever, a locking lever, a holding member, an opening link and a spring. The spring applies an urging force, smaller than an elastic holding force of the holding member in an unlocking direction, to the opening link. A coil is held in a holding recess of a rotation central portion of the opening link. The first arm engages with the outside lever, and the second arm engages with the opening link. If a panic state occurs, the locking lever can rotate to an unlock position, and the opening link returns to an initial position before a releasing action and is moved to the unlock position by the urging force of the spring.

In-vehicle door latch structure and vehicle
A latch structure includes: a door that is changeable between a closed state in which the door covers a door opening provided on a peripheral wall of a vehicle and an opened state in which the door opens the door opening; a floor panel that constitutes a floor surface of an interior space; a door-side engaging portion mounted on the door; and a floor-side engaging portion mounted on the floor panel and engageable with the door-side engaging portion when the door is in the closed state.
Motor vehicle lock
A motor vehicle lock, more particularly for a vehicle rear door, having a lock cover and a locking mechanism consisting of substantially rotary latches and at least one pawl, furthermore having at least one coupling lever, and at least one electric drive, wherein the coupling lever can take up different positions and interacts with a drive element of the drive and a central locking mechanism, wherein, to take up its positions, the coupling lever is connected to the drive element. The drive element and/or lock cover have/has a latching contour having at least two position holders wherein at least one position holder is designed asymmetrically and a spring mechanism is provided, wherein the spring mechanism cooperates with the latching contour, as a result of which the coupling lever can be positioned in the different positions.

Vehicle latch assembly with interchangeable power release gears for normal or high output latch systems
A latching assembly providing two options or systems for electric release output and timing, while keeping the two systems as common with one another as possible. A vehicle latching assembly, including: a housing; a release lever pivotally mounted to the housing; a first gear train for actuating the release lever, the first gear train includes a first worm and a first release gear the first worm meshingly engages the first release gear; and a second gear train for actuating the release lever, the second gear train being interchangeable with the first gear train, the second gear train includes a second worm and a second release gear the second worm meshingly engages the second release gear, wherein the second gear train applies a greater amount of force to the release lever than the first gear train.
