A device for holding the trunk lid of a vehicle in an open position, includes an elongated telescopic member adapted to be adjusted in length, a locking system for holding the elongated member in a selected position, and first and second holding mechanisms provided at opposed ends of the elongated member. The first and second holding mechanisms are adapted to be attached to a lower closed loop provided on the trunk sill and to an upper latching mechanism provided on the inside of the trunk lid of the vehicle.

A propane trunk support apparatus for a car trunk comprising: a base including a pair of pegs; a cylindrical receptacle portion having an outer surface, an inner surface, and an opening configured and sized to receive a propane tank, wherein the opening has an outer circumference and an inner circumference; and a trunk opening device removably attached to the pair of pegs, wherein the trunk opening device is configured to position a car trunk lid in a partially open position.

A tailgate latch locks the closed position of the tailgate and has a closing element and a locking mechanism interacting with the closing element in the closed position. In order to make available a variable cargo space size, in which an open position of the tailgate can be secured, a support arm is pivotably articulated with one end between a rest position, in which the support arm is immovably secured, and a functional position, in which the support arm pivots in the direction of the locking mechanism, and is capable of being fixed with another end to the locking mechanism by an actuation of the locking mechanism.
