Tamper resistant sash opening limiter for casement and awning windows

A sash limiter assembly for limiting the distance a casement window can be opened. In a jamb mounted version, the limiter is mounted in one constant location on the jamb rather than multiple locations on the sill which results in the opening distance being essentially the same for all window widths and all hinge types. In both the jamb mounted version and a sill mounted version, a hexalobular or other security screw can be used to retain a limiting arm to a stud attached to a bracket, or a stud attached to a slider which slides on a track to inhibit unauthorized removal of the limiter arm.

Door support system for an electrical distribution system enclosure

A door support system is provided for an enclosure of an electrical distribution system. The door support system includes a rail fixedly secured to a door panel of the enclosure. The rail includes at least one notch. The door support system also includes a support member mounted to a frame of the enclosure. The support member is slidably mounted to the rail such that the support member slides along a length of the rail between an extended position and a retracted position. The extended position of the support member supports the door panel in an open position. The support member is in the retracted position when the door panel is in a closed position. The support member includes a detent configured to be received into the notch of the rail to releasably lock the support member in the extended position along the length of the rail.

Fixing Device

A fixing device for fixing a second component part at a stationary first component part to be swivelable around a swiveling axis 2 having a cylinder that is displaceable transverse to the swiveling axis and filled with a fluid, a piston displaceably guided in the cylinder that divides the interior of the cylinder into a first working chamber and a second working chamber, with a first valve device that connects the first working chamber to the second working chamber when pressure in the first working chamber is higher than the pressure in the second working chamber, and a second valve device that connects the second working chamber to the first working chamber when pressure in the second working chamber is higher than the pressure in the first working chamber.

DOOR OPENING DEGREE ADJUSTMENT DEVICE

A door opening degree adjustment device includes a check link having a stopper portion, a guide member having a guide hole, and an adjustment member. The adjustment member includes a plurality of stages of step portions and a guide projection that is inserted in the guide hole movably in the extending direction of the guide hole. The adjustment member causes the stopper portion to contact the step portions of any one of the stages, thereby restricting an opening operation caused by pivoting of the door in one direction. The guide projection is arranged on an extended line that connects the stopper portion to one of the stages of the step portions that contacts the stopper portion in the direction of the movement of the check link.

FRICTION HINGE FOR OUTWARD OPENING TOP HUNG WINDOWS

A friction hinge for outward opening top hung windows comprising a support guide of C-shaped section, a moving lever, intermediate levers, a sliding block mounted so that it is capable to slide in the support guide, which are pivotally connected to each other and provide opening of the movable lever in its plane, wherein its rotation axis simultaneously slides along the guide and moves away from it in the opening direction.

MOTION-ACTIVATED STOP FOR A VENT WINDOW

A hardware assembly providing a motion-activated vent stop for a vent window assembly. The hardware assembly can detect excessive forces acting on the vent and quickly arrest any unintended or induced movement of the vent while enabling the regular function of the vent window under normal operating conditions. When an opening force acting on the vent exceeds a predetermined value, the resulting torque causes a shoe to pivot and engage a stepped profile of a guide slot of a track along which the shoe moves. Once engaged, the shoe cannot move along the track and continued movement of the vent is halted. The shoe includes a biasing member that engages the guide slot and produces a counter-torque that tends to bias the shoe generally vertically in the guide slot and enable the shoe to travel freely under normal operating conditions.
