Lock apparatus

A latch mechanism includes a hook-handle assembly coupled to a first panel and a clevis coupled to a second panel. The hook-handle assembly engages the clevis to secure the first panel relative to the second panel.

ENCAPSULATED BEARING BLOCK DESIGN FOR ADJUSTABLE HOOK LATCH

A latch mechanism includes a hook body having a hook body load bearing plate; a hook mechanism, the hook mechanism having a hook with a threaded shaft, the shaft defining a longitudinal axis with respect to the hook body; an adjustment mechanism configured to adjust an axial position of the hook with respect to the hook body; and a bearing block, the bearing block having a block load bearing plate disposed between the adjustment mechanism and the hook body load bearing plate, the bearing block including a first boss configured for engagement with the adjustment mechanism, a second boss configured for engagement with the hook body plate aperture, an inner diameter hole that allows the hook shaft threads to engage with the adjustment mechanism but provides suitable clearance within the second boss inner diameter to prevent the hook shaft threads from bearing out as required in Aerospace design.

ADJUSTABLE HOOK LATCH HAVING EFFICIENT LOAD PATH

A hook body for a latch mechanism is disclosed. In various embodiments, the hook body includes a plurality of longitudinal members on an upper and a lower surface only, each of the plurality of longitudinal members extending in a longitudinal direction along a full length with respect to the hook body, and a hook body load bearing plate connected to the plurality of longitudinal members and being oriented perpendicular to the longitudinal direction, the hook body load bearing plate configured to slidably receive a shaft connected to a hook, the shaft extending in the longitudinal direction with respect to the hook body.

Device for locking a threaded rod in a tapped tube

The present invention relates to a locking device (10), comprising a threaded rod (12) and a tapping tube (14), which are movable relative to each other. An outer surface of the tube includes a first anti-rotation form. The device further comprises: a locking sleeve (16) positioned around the rod and comprising a second anti-rotation form (60, 62) capable of being assembled to the first anti-rotation form; and an elastic element (18) connected to the locking sleeve. In a locked position, the first (38, 40) and second (60, 62) anti-rotation forms are assembled; and in a release position, said anti-rotation forms are axially spaced apart, whereby the tube is free to rotate relative to the sleeve.

A high visibility panel latch may comprise a latch handle coupled to a latch mechanism, wherein the latch handle comprises a visibility feature. The visibility features may comprise a portion of at least a first face and a second face of the latch handle. The visibility features may comprise a painted channel.

Latch and method for operating said latch

A latch includes a latch housing including a first housing portion and a second housing portion separable from the first housing portion. The second housing portion includes a keeper. A first arm member is in rotational communication with the first housing portion. The first arm member is configured to rotate about a first axis between a first position and a second position. A second arm member is in rotational communication with the first arm member. A latch load pin is in rotational communication with the first arm member about a second axis. The latch load pin is configured to mate with the keeper with the first arm member in the first position. The second arm member in the first position is configured to be fixed relative to the first arm member as the first arm member rotates from the first position toward the second position.

Hook Latch With Adjustable Throw

A latch is operable between a disengaged position and an engaged position releasably connecting a latch mounting pin on a first static structural element to a keeper on a second, movable structural element. The latch includes means for adjusting the throw of the hook to accommodate different distances between the latch mounting pin and the keeper due to manufacturing tolerances or different applications. The latch has a tension mechanism, a hook connected to the tension mechanism, and a handle pivotably connected to the tension mechanism and operable to actuate the tension mechanism between engaged and disengaged positions with the keeper. The latch is operable between the engaged and disengaged positions by rotating the handle between a closed position and an open position.

A latch mechanism of a storage case where a case cover is openably and closably connected to a case body, the latch mechanism includes a latch arm connected to the case body and an arm receiving portion provided on the case cover. A hook is formed on a tip side of the latch arm. A locking claw is formed on a tip side of the arm receiving portion. The arm receiving portion is formed with an inclined surface that guides the hook toward a claw tip of the locking claw.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR LATCH HOOK LENGTH ADJUSTMENT

A latch hook length adjustment arrangement includes a latch hook body comprising a hook and a rod extending from the hook, an adjustment nut configured to threadingly couple to the rod, a plurality of detent pockets disposed in the first side surface of the adjustment nut, a bearing sleeve comprising one or more bearings, and a spring member configured to bias the adjustment nut against the bearing sleeve. The detent pockets and bearing(s) may retain the nut in a rotational position, thereby maintaining the positional length of the hook.
