Door prop apparatus and methods of use
The door prop apparatus disclosed herein is configured to secure a door in a partially opened position relative to a door frame defining a doorway, in various aspects. The door prop apparatus includes a mounting member adapted to attach to the door frame latch jamb and thereby secure the apparatus to the latch jamb, in various aspects. The door prop apparatus includes a latch receiving member adapted to receive the door latch therein, in various aspects. As the door is urged from an open position towards a closed position, the latch receiving member receives the door latch therein and thereby secures the door in the partially opened position, in various aspects. The door handle is operable to retract the latch into the door and thereby release the door from the secured partially opened position, in various aspects. Related methods are disclosed.
DOOR BRACKET ASSEMBLY
The present invention discloses a door bracket assembly in a locked and unlocked position according to a door situation of the either being closed or open. The door bracket includes a locking assembly to perform a locking mechanism with a pair of locking elements. The pair of locking elements is in a first position, where the locking mechanism is disengaged and the door bracket is unlocked. In a second position, where the locking mechanism is engaged and the sliding door latch is locked.
Auxiliary door brace apparatus
A door barricade apparatus includes a body portion having a pushing face, a port, an advancing interface, and a release interface. The apparatus further includes a shaft portion having a shaft and a door bracket. The door bracket has a throat terminating in at least an l-shaped configuration. The door bracket is pivotably coupled to the shaft at a first end and the shaft is disposed within the port.
Apparatus and method for a door latching mechanism
The present inventive concept provides a door holding and/or a door latching apparatus including an elongated door latch bracket including a first end that is affixed to an area on a door frame that extends toward a substantially U-shaped door latch portion for engaging with and holding the edge of a door, wherein the U-shaped door latch portion extends toward a second end including a tab or flap member for flexing the bracket for engaging or disengaging the door with or from the U-shaped door latch portion and methods of using the same.
Sleeve stop lock and related methods
Disclosed is a Sleeve Stop Lock that is a portable, removable, non-damaging door lock that can be used to secure almost any inward swinging door from the outside. The apparatus consists of three components: a sleeve, a stop, and a lock. The “sleeve” component fits around the edge of a door. It is installed while a door is open. With the door closed, the “stop” makes contact with the door frame once attached to the sleeve thus preventing the door from swinging inward. The “lock” mechanism then securely binds all of the components together. The combination of these three elements (sleeve, stop and lock) prevent potential intruders (including housekeeping) from entering and invading the privacy of an unoccupied room.
Portable door lock
A door locking device having a locking bar with a first section and a second section pivotally connected to the first section and, the second section being provided with a protrusion. There is also provided a housing having a first end comprising a face and a recess therein. The first section of the locking bar is received and retained, within the recess of the housing, and the pivotal connection is orientated with an axis of rotation that is non-parallel with the longitudinal axis of the locking bar.
Portable Door Lock
A portable door lock for use with a door hingedly mounted in a doorway formed of a door jamb and a locking recess wherein the door lock can be formed of first and second rectilinear U-shaped members formed of flat strips of metal.
Emergency entry control system
An emergency entry control system which is particularly adaptable for use with double panic doors typically found in schools, movie theaters, and other public facilities. The system includes a base, connecting bracket, and engagement means designed to be removably secured to the top latching mechanism and/or bottom latching mechanism of a conventional double panic door configuration to prevent double panic doors without a center bar from being opened from the outside. The system is rotated manually to permit the panic doors to operate normally. The system can also be modified with wireless and audio technology to effectuate audible and visual notification and facilitate location and communication during emergency situations like an unauthorized attempt at entry or removal of the system.
DOOR BRACING DEVICES
A door bracing device is described herein. The door bracing device includes an anchor structure positioned at a first end of the door bracing device, the anchor structure configured to extend outward from a base of the door bracing device to engage with a door handle. The door bracing device further includes a bolt receiver formed to receive a bolt of a door, the bolt receiver positioned such that the bolt of the door is able to extend through the bolt receiver. The door bracing device further includes a strike plate engagement structure positioned on a second end of the door bracing device, configured to extend outward from the base to be inserted into a strike plate of a door jamb of a door.
