A lock assembly comprising a throw bolt, a bolt holder and a bolt keeper. The bolt comprises a cutting barrier and a bolt casing, the bolt casing being more corrosion-resistant than the cutting barrier, and the cutting barrier being more abrasion-resistant that the bolt casing. When assembled, the cutting barrier will be enclosed within the bolt casing.

LEVER ACTION AUTOMATIC SHOOTBOLT OPERATOR WITH MAGNETICALLY-TRIGGERED LOCKING MECHANISM

A magnetically-triggered lock mechanism for interengaging two relatively movable components. The lock mechanism includes a bolt mounted within a first component composed of a first material and displaceable between retracted and extended positions to interengage with a second component when the first and second components are in a predetermined position relative to each other and the bolt is extended, and a magnetically-releasable latch mechanism positioned to latch the bolt in a retracted position, the latch mechanism including a first magnet and mounted for movement between a biased latch engaging position and a latch releasing position. A support collar composed of a second material having higher strength than that of the first material is disposed around the bolt between an inner casing and outer casing of the first component and is spaced from the bolt to allow for sliding movement of the bolt through the support collar as the bolt moves between the extended and retracted positions. The support collar absorbs and distributes to the inner and/or outer casing a load generated from the bolt as the bolt moves to the extended position through the support collar. A second magnet is positioned to displace the latch mechanism to the latch releasing position when the first component is in the predetermined position relative to the second component.

DEADBOLT ASSEMBLY

A lock mechanism having a bolt movable between a thrown position and a retracted position, and a deadbolt assembly includes a sliding deadbolt configured to slide between a locked position in which the sliding deadbolt inhibits retraction of the bolt and an unlocked position. The sliding deadbolt includes a first anti-thrust cam configured to restrain the sliding deadbolt in the locked position, and a release driver arranged such that, when driven, the release driver releases the first anti-thrust cam from restraining the sliding deadbolt in the locked position and slides the deadbolt to the unlocked position.

Automatic locking-deadbolt assembly in a door

A lock assembly for a door includes a lock body having a housing with at least one deadbolt supported in the housing for movement between a retracted position and an extended position and biased toward the extended position by a spring, and a trigger mechanism mounted on the door separate from the lock body for engagement with a door jamb upon closure of the door, said trigger mechanism being adapted to hold the at least one deadbolt in the retracted position when the door is open in opposition to a spring bias, and to permit movement of the at least one deadbolt to the extended position upon engagement of the trigger mechanism with the door jamb.

DOOR LATCH ASSEMBLY

A latch feature for a door includes an input body that is operable to move linearly between first and second positions relative to the door. The latch feature also includes an output body. The output body is coupled to the input body by a pivot member that is configured to pivot relative to the output body and the input body to allow the output body to move linearly toward the input body from an outboard position to an inboard position as the input body moves from the first position to the second position.

Window sash lock and tilt mechanism

A window lock system includes a sash lock and at least one tilt latch. The sash lock includes a first housing, a lever, a cam, a slide plate, and at least one actuator movable via the lever. The tilt latch includes a second housing configured to be slidably mounted on a window sash and an independent bolt slidingly coupled to the first end of the second housing. A drive bar couples the at least one actuator and the second housing together. The sash lock is movable between at least a locked position, an unlocked position, and a tilt position by rotating the lever. When the sash lock is in the tilt position, the at least one actuator retracts relative to the first housing and via the drive bar retracts the first end of the second housing of the tilt latch relative to a side surface of the window sash.

ELECTRONICALLY ACTUATED AND LOCKING GLOVE BOX SYSTEM

An electronic latch includes a housing, a motor having an output shaft, a gear arrangement comprising at least one gear that is configured to be driven by the output shaft of the motor, a rack coupled to the gear arrangement and configured to move in response to motion of the gear arrangement, and at least one pawl or pawl connector that is connected to the rack. Motion of the rack causes or permits the at least one pawl or pawl connector to move between (i) a withdrawn position and (ii) a deployed position in which the pawl or pawl connector is extended further from the housing as compared with the withdrawn position.

Handle-locking mechanism and door lock using such mechanism

A handle-locking mechanism for a door comprises a sliding bar, a locking member and a rotatable member all inside a lock body, wherein the rotary motion of the rotatable member drives an upper latch and a lower latch to a locking position and unlocking position; the sliding bar is slidably arranged inside the lock body and one end of the sliding bar abuts against the bolt, and the sliding bar is provided with a first elastic element, and the sliding bar is pushed against the elastic force from the first elastic element when the bolt retracts; the locking member is coupled with the sliding bar, and when the bolt stretches out, the locking member is brought by the sliding bar to a position to block the rotary motion of the rotatable member.

LOCK ASSEMBLY FOR A VEHICLE LOAD COMPARTMENT
20230087515 · 2023-03-23 · ·

A lock assembly is intended to improve the security of a roller shutter door or tailgate door, especially on a vehicle used to make frequent deliveries and collections. The lock assembly provides a bolt (15) mounted in an enveloping housing (1) to be displaced solely by the action of a key placed in a lock (14) and rotated. Rotation displaces the bolt (15) between an extended condition where the bolt can engage in a staple (10) so locking the door closed, and a retracted condition where the door can be opened.

A door lockset for a sliding door includes a latch assembly, a plunger, a plunger retention assembly, and a secondary unlocking feature. The latch assembly has a first end and a second end. The plunger is positioned at least partially within the latch assembly. The plunger is movable between an extended position and a retracted position relative to the second end of the latch assembly. The plunger retention assembly has a first end having a recess, a second end opposing the first end, and an actuation member positioned at least partially within the plunger retention assembly. The plunger is configured to engage the recess in the extended position.
