The invention relates to a hinge for a door or a window, comprising: a frame hinge part (1), which can be mounted on a frame and which has a mounting portion (2) and a cylindrical receiving bush (3); a leaf hinge part (4), which can be mounted on the leaf and which has a mounting portion (5) and a hinge strap (6); anda shaft element (7), which articulatedly connects the two hinge parts (1, 4) arranged one over the other in the vertical direction and which has a shaft pin portion (8) insertable into the receiving bush (3) and a portion located at the opposite end with a socket (10) for the hinge strap (6); wherein the hinge strap (6) can be moved within the socket (10) in the shaft element (7) perpendicularly to the direction of the longitudinal axis by means of an adjustment device (11) In the socket (10), each of at least one clamping piece (12), preferably two clamping pieces (12), is connected to the shaft element (7) by means of an associated connecting element (13). Each clamping piece (12) has an undercut extending perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis of the shaft element (7), and each undercut engages with an associated groove (14) in the hinge strap (6), the groove being undercut inversely correspondingly. Each clamping piece (12) can be moved between a clamping position and a release position by means of the connecting element (13).

HINGE ASSEMBLY FOR FLOOD GATES

A hinge assembly for a flood gate comprises support means (1) provided with a first projecting portion (5); a hinge housing (9) having a base plate (11) formed with an aperture (13) for receiving the first projecting portion (5) of the support means (1), with a second projecting portion (21), and with a third projecting portion (15) provided with an aperture (13) receiving a hinge pin. Adjusting means (27, 28) acts between the first and second projecting portions (5,21) and threadingly engages with one thereof. The adjusting means (27,28), the support means (1), and the hinge housing (9) are configured such that rotation of the adjusting means (27,28) in one direction causes movement of the hinge housing (9) relative to the support means (1) in a first direction and such that rotation of the adjusting means (27,28) in the other direction causes movement of the hinge housing (9) relative to the support means (1) in a second direction opposite to the first axial direction. Hinge arm adjusting means (31) is threadingly mounted in the third projecting portion (15) such that rotation of the adjusting means (31) in one direction moves the adjusting means (27,28) in a third direction and rotation of the adjusting means (31) in the other direction moves the adjusting means (31) in a fourth direction opposite to the third direction. The hinge arm adjusting means (31) is adapted in use to engage with a hinge arm (37) so as to raise or lower the height of the hinge arm (37) within the hinge housing (9), the third and fourth directions being perpendicular to the first and second directions.

Hinge for door or window

A hinge for a panel or window has a frame subassembly having a frame leaf mountable on a fixed frame and a substantially cylindrical bushing fixed to the leaf and centered on an axis, a panel subassembly having a leaf mountable on the panel of the door and a flange fixed to the leaf, and a hinge-pin assembly pivotally interconnecting the frame and panel subassemblies and having a hinge pin rotatable in the bushing and a part fixed to an end of the hinge pin and having a seat slidably receiving the flange. An adjuster moves the flange in the seat in the hinge-pin subassembly in a transverse direction normal to the axis of the hinge-pin subassembly. A clamping block is slidable in the transverse direction in the part of the hinge-pin assembly. A connecting element secures the clamping block to the hinge-pin subassembly and can slide in the flange.
