RESISTANCE HINGE
A resistance hinge includes a first hinge bracket, a fixing shaft fastened in the first hinge bracket, a locating holder surrounding the fixing shaft, a friction part, a second hinge bracket and a transmission module. The friction part is formed in a hollow cylinder shape and surrounds the locating holder together with the fixing shaft. The second hinge bracket is pivotally mounted on the first hinge bracket. The transmission module is connected between the friction part and the second hinge bracket.
HINGE ASSEMBLY FOR A DOOR OF A REFRIGERATING COMPARTMENT
A hinge assembly for a door, the hinge assembly including a hinge pin arranged to be fixed to the door at one end and having a pin connector part at an opposite second end. A rotation damper connected to a damper connector part arranged to cooperate with the pin connector part for transferring torque around an axis of rotation between the damper connector part and the pin connector part throughout an opening angle of the door, such that a rotational movement of the damper connector part about the axis of rotation in at least a first rotational direction is dampened by the rotation damper. The pin connector part and the damper connection part allow an initial closing angle of rotation of the door before the damper acts on the rotation of the hinge pin, the initial closing angle being at least 2°.
PORTABLE INFORMATION HANDLING SYSTEM WITH A MULTI-TORQUE HINGE TO SUPPORT WHITEBOARD INPUT MODE
A portable information handling system includes a variable torque hinge that increases torque to resist hinge rotation when the information handling system housing rotates to a writing position, such as rotation to a range of between 300 and 350 degrees. In one embodiment, a sequential hinge rotates in the writing range about one axle that has increased friction in the desired writing range generated by a cam having a variable surface area and depth to work a variable friction between a friction structure and axle end cap.
Biaxial hinge and electronic device having the same
A biaxial hinge is provided which includes a rotation cam part including a first rotation cam part and a second rotation cam part configured to rotate with hinge shafts as the center, wherein each of the first and second rotation cam parts include a plurality of pockets each of which comprises one side opened and is inwardly recessed, a sliding cam part comprising one side protruding in a direction of the rotation cam part and an incline so as to move upward and downward in cooperation with rotation of the rotation cam part and insert in the pocket, a guide part including a through-hole formed at a center portion and which one side of the projected sliding cam part perforates to guide movement of the sliding cam part, and a support part configured to support the sliding cam part at a lower portion of the sliding cam part.
Friction Hinge
A friction hinge is described. In at least some implementations, the described friction hinge enables a support component to be adjustably attached to an apparatus, such as a computing device. According to various implementations, a friction hinge includes different friction stages where movement of the hinge is based on different activity mechanisms.
Door alignment mechanism
A refrigerator door assembly includes a refrigerator door having a recess. An alignment mechanism includes a plate and a door hinge. The plate is fixedly attached to the door hinge and positioned at least partially within the recess of the refrigerator door. The refrigerator door is movably positionable between at least a first position and a second position relative to the plate to permit adjustment of a location of the refrigerator door relative to the door hinge.
Hinge
Disclosed is a hinge including: a first hinge component including: a first external surface for securing to a first structure; and a first magnetic element; and a second hinge component, pivotally coupled to the first hinge component, including: a second external surface for securing to a second structure; and a second magnetic element. A magnetic force between the first and second magnetic elements bias the first and second hinge components toward a retained position.
Fabric Treatment Machine Hinge Spacer
A fabric treatment machine has a cabinet housing. A lid enables access inside the cabinet. Fabric treatment components such as a drum are positioned inside the cabinet housing. A panel on the cabinet housing includes an opening to receive the lid. At least one hinge spacer couples with the panel to receive a shaft of a slow close hinge on the lid. The at least one hinge spacer includes a socket portion and a flange portion. The socket portion inserts into an aperture in the panel. The socket portion includes a bore with at least one flat side to receive a mating shaft from the slow closing hinge. The hinge shaft has at least one flat surface. The flange portion covers the panel around the socket.
DOOR ALIGNMENT MECHANISM
A refrigerator door assembly includes a refrigerator door that has a recess and an alignment mechanism that includes a door hinge. A plate is fixedly attached to the door hinge and positioned at least partially within the recess of the refrigerator door. The plate includes an orienting member configured to extend along an axis of rotation of the door hinge and away from a body of the plate. The refrigerator door is movably positionable between at least a first position and a second position relative to the plate to permit adjustment of a location of the refrigerator door relative to the door hinge. The recess includes a track that slides against the plate in a linear path between the first and second positions of the refrigerator door.
