An articulated attachment assembly and a rail system and method of installation for rail installations in which there is an elevational change between vertical supports, in which the articulated attachment assembly eliminates the need for field mitering of components and provides instead a first articulated hinge assembly having a first mounting block to be attached to the first support, a second mounting block to be attached to the first rail connection block, and a hinge member to couple the second mounting block to the first mounting block and enable the second mounting block, the first rail connection block, and the rail to pivot together relative to the first mounting block and the first support.

Hinge arrangement for a switchgear cabinet housing, and corresponding switchgear cabinet housing

The invention relates to a hinge arrangement for a switchgear housing cabinet, having a first hinge half, which is fastened to a vertical side wall, delimiting a door opening, of a switchgear cabinet housing, and having a second hinge half, which is fastened to a door element, the hinge halves being connected to each other such that they can pivot relative to each other via a rotation axis, so that the door element closes the door opening when in a closed position and preferably completely exposes the door opening when in an open position, and the rotation axis being outside the outer periphery of both the door opening and the door element, wherein at least one of the hinge halves has a groove, via which the hinge half is fitted onto a protrusion on the outer periphery of the part of the switchgear cabinet housing and of the door element associated with the hinge half.

A hinge is provided, which comprises: at least one hinge pin defining a hinge axis in a first dimension; a hinge leaf; a housing comprising at least one recess for receiving a portion of the hinge leaf; and at least one user adjustable fastener arranged to enable user adjustment of the positioning of the hinge leaf within the at least one recess in a second dimension, wherein the second dimension is orthogonal to the first dimension.

Latching System for Door or Window Panel
20210355723 · 2021-11-18 ·

Door and window panels for use in building construction, and particularly bi-folding door and window panels. A latch mechanism and associated bolt are provided with a track to guide the bolt and a hinge fixing portion being disposed within the track. The hinge fixing portion provides a point of attachment for the hinge, and is movable within the track so as to be locatable at any level along the door or window panel as desired. The hinge fixing portion and/or track may be configured such that the hinge fixing portion is maintained clear of the bolt to allow the bolt to slide thereunder. In that context, the hinge fixing portion may perform two tasks: firstly the task of providing an anchor for the hinge, and secondly for maintaining itself clear of a bolt within the track.

Hinge assembly

A hinge assembly is designed to reduce the number of details in the hinge assembly and to simplify the construction of the hinge assembly. The hinge assembly includes an arm having a length with a pivot post on a first end of the arm and an arm lock on an opposite second end of the arm. An internally screw threaded hole extends through the arm block. The plate is attached to the second end of the arm. The plate has a plate surface configured for attachment to a ceiling panel and an opposite adjustment surface. A ridge extends across the adjustment surface and a slot extends through the ridge. The arm block is positioned adjacent the ridge with the internally screw threaded hole of the arm block aligned with the slot through the ridge. An externally screw threaded rod extends through the slot and is screw threaded into the internally screw threaded hole through the arm block. The externally screw threaded rod is turned in opposite directions to alternatively lock the arm to the plate, and release the arm from the plate for adjustable positioning of the plate relative to the arm.
