The safe door is a releasable door comprising a fire resistant body attached to a door jamb to provide privacy. Safe door comprises a frame less door panel attached to a door jamb by magnets engineered to release when a breakaway force is applied to the door in any direction. Safe door is assembled with welding and adhesive of a foam core, a fire sock and a protective sheet inside a cover of vinyl sheeting. The fire sock and cover are closed to prevent moisture penetration or disassembly to protect people and property. A handle on a handle side and a hinge on a hinge side attach where a traditional door may attach to allow door to move from an open position to a closed position.

DOOR HINGE FOR A LAUNDRY APPLIANCE HAVING A SHEET METAL HINGE AND AN INTEGRATED ROTATION LIMITING DEVICE

An appliance includes an outer cabinet having a front aperture for accessing a processing space. A door selectively engages the front aperture in a closed position to enclose the processing space. A hinge includes a cabinet mount attached to the outer cabinet and having a stop that defines an open position of the door. A hinge pin extends through the cabinet mount to define a rotational axis of the hinge. A sheet metal flange is press fit onto the hinge pin and is fixedly attached to the door. The sheet metal flange is wrapped around the hinge pin and is attached to the door via fasteners. The pin includes a protrusion that selectively engages the stop of the cabinet mount in the open position.

Door translation hinge assembly

An aircraft door translation hinge assembly connects a passenger door of an aircraft to the aircraft fuselage structure and enables the passenger door to move through a desired opening motion. The opening motion of the passenger door is controlled by a simplified mechanism that utilizes a pair of linkages connected by a cam surface follower that engages in sliding engagement with a cam surface. The simplified mechanism controls a pivoting movement of the passenger door as the passenger door is first opened, and then controls a translation movement of the passenger door as the passenger door is continued to be opened from a passenger door opening in the aircraft fuselage.

Continuous Locking Hinge Assemblies and Folding Door Assemblies Including the Same

A continuous hinge includes first and second leaves, an upper pivot, and a lower pivot. The first leaf is configured to secure to a first panel and the second leaf is configured to secure to a second panel. The first and second leaves each have an uppermost end adjacent a top end of the respective panel and a lowermost end adjacent a bottom end of the respective panel. The upper pivot is formed between the first and second leaves adjacent the uppermost ends thereof. The lower pivot is formed between the first and second leaves adjacent the lowermost ends thereof. The first and second leaves are configured to pivot relative to one another between a closed position in which the first and second panels are aligned on edges with one another and an open position in which the first and second panels are out of alignment with one another.

Method of attaching and detaching objects allowing for controlled rotation
11629536 · 2023-04-18 ·

An apparatus for attaching and detaching hard objects allowing for rotation wherein protrusions built in or attached to one object are forced into cavity sockets built in or attached to another by causing force resulting in momentary bending of protrusions or the cavities. The sequential bending causes curvilinear motion allowing protrusions to enter otherwise inaccessible cavity sockets. Once in, the components of the joining mechanism revert to natural position and an equilibrium is reached which keeps the objects attached, yet free to move around an axis. This equilibrium can only be disturbed by causing force at specific points on the mechanism and pulling the objects apart in a curvilinear motion, thereby detaching the objects in one continuous motion with little effort. Momentary bending necessary to operate the apparatus is made possible by empty space in the casing housing the mechanism. Permitted angles of rotation are controllable and attached objects can be locked in a position.
