A door and door jamb arrangement, for securing the opening of a secure space. The door and door jamb arrangement include a safe container, a safe room or a lockable container. The door jamb arrangement further including a door and the opening. The door is adapted to be hingedly attached to a door jamb with a hinge arrangement. The door has a hinged edge or end, and non-hinged edges or ends including a top, bottom and a remote edge. The opening has a planar space defined by the door jamb and is adapted to be closed by the door in a closed position. A hinge axis of the hinge arrangement is adapted, near or adjacent the closed position, to move laterally relative to one or both of the door or the door jamb. The hinge axis of the hinge arrangement is adapted, near or adjacent the closed position, to move at least a door portion of two adjacent edges of the door relative to corresponding and adjacent jamb portions of an edge of the door jamb between overlapping and non-overlapping positions. The door is adapted to move vertically relative to the door jamb.

Open loop fixed outside pull handle integrated with door belt seal

A vehicle door includes a belt structure and a rigid handle having a rigid base and a rigid outer grip portion. The rigid outer grip portion includes a portion that is spaced apart from the base to form a gap. The base of the handle is rigidly connected to the belt structure whereby the outer grip portion of the handle does not move relative to the belt structure. The vehicle door may include a powered door opening mechanism that moves a portion of the door away from a vehicle body when actuated.

Insulated door assembly

A vacuum insulated door for an appliance includes an outer wrapper that defines an evacuation port. An inner liner is coupled to the outer wrapper defining an insulating cavity therebetween. A base is coupled to the outer wrapper adjacent to the evacuation port. A servicing tube has a connecting end and a servicing end. The servicing tube is in fluid communication with the insulating cavity via the evacuation port. The connecting end is coupled to the base. A handle has first and second ends coupled to the outer wrapper and a center portion therebetween spaced-apart from the outer wrapper. The first end is coupled to the outer wrapper proximate the evacuation port. The servicing tube extends along an inner surface of the handle.

Foot operable door opener

A foot operable door opener operates, without using one's hands, and without an electrical assist. The entrance cycle is initiated by stepping on a pedal. This force drives the pedal a ¼ turn, engaging a soft wheel to open the door. The pedal is hard linked to a crank arm which goes into a unidirectional crank shaft hub to turn the wheel. The downward pressure from the pedal pivots a ratcheted hinge connected to a bracketed spring-loaded wheel assembly to keep constant pressure to the ground. A gear box or multiple pumps of the pedal turns the wheel two or more 360 degrees rotations, opening the door to allow the entrant to pass until the foot pedal is dis-engaged. This action releases the ratcheting hinge mechanism, allowing the spring assisted wheel assemble to rotate to its original up position, releasing the wheel from the ground, allowing the door to close.
