FLUID DAMPER INCLUDING A SWITCHING PISTON, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE FLUID DAMPER, DRIVE ARRANGEMENT INCLUDING THE FLUID DAMPER

A fluid damper is provided including a cylinder filled with a damping fluid, a piston base body shiftably guided in the cylinder along a stroke axis, and a valve disk spaced apart from a shell wall of the cylinder. The piston base body divides an inner space of the cylinder into a front space and a rear space along the stroke axis. In the piston base body, there is at least one channel connecting the front space to the rear space in a fluid-conducting manner. The valve disk is shiftably guided along the stroke axis between an opening position unblocking the at least one channel and a closing position closing the at least one channel. The valve disk has a central area extending radially outward from the stroke axis, the central area being free of apertures.

Actuator for automotive applications

An application, in particular for motor vehicle closing devices. The basic design of the motor vehicle has an electric motor and an actuating element which is acted upon by the electric motor directly or indirectly via a powertrain. The powertrain is provided with at least one Evoloid toothing. According to the invention, a drive shaft of the electric motor is equipped with an Evoloid pinion which meshes with an Evoloid output gear at the input of the powertrain, thereby directly producing the Evoloid toothing.

ROTARY TO LINEARLY RECIPROCATING MOTION CONVERTER

A rotary to linearly reciprocating motion converter includes a case, a closure member engaging an opening of the case to dispose a pinion gear rotatably coupled to the closure member, the pinion gear having half the diameter as an interior ring gear of the case, and further includes a pinion shaft connected to the pinion gear on a first side of the closure member and to an inboard end of a crank arm on a second side of the closure member, the outboard end of the crank arm having a force transfer member aligned with a point on the periphery of the pinion gear. Rotation of the closure member relative to the case results in the force transfer member moving in a linearly reciprocating mode. The force transfer member may be coupled to a conveyor to reciprocate the conveyor as the closure member rotates.

Switching device for switching an electric motor

A geared motor is provided, including an electric motor, a transmission, a drive shaft and a switching device arranged on the drive shaft. The switching device includes a single housing that is distinct and separate from an electric motor housing and a transmission housing. The switching device also includes a contactless, absolute position-measuring device and an evaluation unit, each provided within the single housing, a gear wheel coupled to the drive shaft, and an output unit. The switching device is coupled to the position-measuring device by a pinion, which rotates about the same rotational axis as the drive shaft.

A door drive for arrangement on or in connection with a door system, whereby at least one leaf element of the door system is movable. The door drive includes a motor unit with a housing, in which a stator is stationarily received, and wherein a rotor is arranged so as to be rotationally-movable in the housing and includes an output shaft, wherein the output shaft can be brought into operative connection in a driving manner with the leaf element. The rotor includes a support body, on which receiving fields are formed, on which permanent magnets are adhered.

CONTROL ELEMENTS FOR TRACKING AND MOVEMENT OF FURNITURE AND INTERIOR ARCHITECTURAL ELEMENTS

Improved systems and methods for operating moveable architectural elements (e.g., furniture) are described. The system can include improved features implemented throughout various elements, including hardware elements, controller elements, and/or software elements. As one example, the system can feature the ability to map a characteristic load profile across a particular length of actuation and, if during operation a measured load exceeds the profile, adjust (e.g., stop) the system's motion. The system can also advantageously map its current draw to increase energy efficiency. In addition, the system can include a positioning system that enables it to automatically determine its position upon start up and during operation. In some implementations, the system includes multiple moveable elements (e.g., furniture items). In some cases, power is distributed to the moveable element(s) using a moveable power distribution module. Many other improvements and features are contemplated and described.

Door system with improved installation, set-up, and cloning

A door system includes a controller for controlling the door system. A user computer system transmits information to the controller over a wireless connection to modify operating parameters for controlling the operation of the door system. During installation of the door system sensors may be utilized to determine if the door system has been installed properly. The sensors may be used to identify if the door system is mounted level and plum, and to review the movement, vibration, speed, acceleration, force, or the like of the sensors, and thus, the components to which the sensors are operatively coupled in order to make adjustments to the door assembly. Furthermore, the operating parameters of the installed door system, may be cloned and provided to other door systems in order to quickly clone and distribute the operating parameters of one or more door systems to one or more other door systems.
