The closing mechanism comprises a pressure plate 103 at a base of the container 101, a string 105 connecting the pressure plate 103 with the lid, and at least one pull spring 106 between the lid 102 and the container 101, and the locking mechanism comprises a flexible rod 104 beneath the pressure plate 103 and directly connected to the pressure plate 103, a slider 109 connected to the flexible rod, and a hole 110 in the lid, wherein the hole 110 is adapted to accommodate insertion of the flexible rod 104 therein.

A latch assembly for use in a storage container is provided, and comprises a bracket having a body, a first side, and a second side, the bracket being releasably secured to the first or the second body component of the storage container. The first side includes a protruding segment. The body includes at least one slot positioned thereon, the bracket being secured to the storage container via a fastener inserted through the at least one slot. The latch assembly also includes a handle secured to the bracket. When the handle is moved in a first direction, the bracket moves from a latched position to an unlatched position where the protruding segment passes through a lock box assembly, and when the handle is moved in a second direction, the bracket moves from an unlatched position to a latched position where the lock box assembly blocks movement of the protruding segment. The latch assembly is used in conjunction with a lock system.

A latch assembly for use in a storage container is provided, and comprises a bracket having a body, a first side, and a second side, the bracket being releasably secured to the first or the second body component of the storage container. The first side includes a protruding segment. The body includes at least one slot positioned thereon, the bracket being secured to the storage container via a fastener inserted through the at least one slot. The latch assembly also includes a handle secured to the bracket. When the handle is moved in a first direction, the bracket moves from a latched position to an unlatched position where the protruding segment passes through a lock box assembly, and when the handle is moved in a second direction, the bracket moves from an unlatched position to a latched position where the lock box assembly blocks movement of the protruding segment. The latch assembly is used in conjunction with a lock system.

A touchless smart storage box is presented for storage of items like documents, jewellery, data discs, currency, handgun, firearms, etc. The box conducts the authentication for access thereto based on facial information of the user. Once the facial information matches, the contents of the box are made visible on the screen associated with the box by means of an internal camera. A motor may be used to open and close the door without any physical interaction. Multiple sensors may be embedded onto the smart box to indicate its status of open close and location. Due to tempering action the camera may get triggered to capture the scenario and transmit the same to mobile and web application. Communication protocol enables the box to be operated remotely for all interactions.

A remotely controlled cabinet assembly includes a cabinet unit that includes a central cabinet and a door that is hingedly coupled to the central cabinet. A plurality of locking units is each coupled to the central cabinet. Each of the locking units releasably engages the door for locking the door on the central cabinet. A control unit is coupled to the cabinet unit and the control unit is electrically coupled to each of the locking units. The control unit actuates each of the locking units to disengage and thusly unlock the door on the central cabinet. A keypad is coupled to the door and each of the locks disengages the door when an alpha-numeric code is entered into the keypad. A remotely controlled cabinet assembly includes a cabinet unit that includes a central cabinet and a door that is hingedly coupled to the central cabinet. A plurality of locking units is each coupled to the central cabinet. Each of the locking units releasably engages the door for locking the door on the central cabinet. A control unit is coupled to the cabinet unit and the control unit is electrically coupled to each of the locking units. The control unit actuates each of the locking units to disengage and thusly unlock the door on the central cabinet. A keypad is coupled to the door and each of the locks disengages the door when an alpha-numeric code is entered into the keypad. An electronic device is carried by a user and the electronic device transmits an unlock command to the control unit for remotely unlocking the door on the central cabinet.
