The disclosure relates to a drive arrangement for a flap of a motor vehicle, comprising a linear drive for producing drive movements and comprising a transmission arrangement, which is coupled to said linear drive, for transmitting the drive movements, a compensating arrangement being provided which couples two drive elements of the drive arrangement to each other in terms of drive, and, when a limit load between the two drive elements is exceeded, the compensating arrangement permitting a guided compensating movement between the two drive elements. It is proposed that the transmission arrangement provides the compensating arrangement.

EMERGENCY BI-FOLD DOOR CLOSING PREVENTION SYSTEM
20230235606 · 2023-07-27 ·

An emergency bi-fold door closing prevention system includes a building having an access opening with an upper edge. A bi-fold door is hingedly mounted to the building wall and includes a plurality of panels each being laterally elongated. The plurality of panels includes a bottom panel having a bottom edge that is positionable adjacent to a floor surface to define a closed position. A safety line assembly is attached to and extends between the building wall adjacent to the upper edge and the bi-fold door adjacent to the bottom edge. The safety line has an extendable length. The length of the safety line assembly extends when the bi-fold door moves toward the closed position below a threshold velocity. The length of the safety line assembly is inhibited from extending when the bi-fold door moves toward the closed position above the threshold velocity to prevent unimpeded falling of the bi-fold door.

Damped and compact hinge device

The damped and compact hinge device includes a spring (17) fixed to a first member (3) and a second end coupled to interconnection means (13) having a first mobile pin (27) of a lever (23) sliding along a first slot (29) of the first member (3). The interconnection means (13) further includes a rod (31) connecting the lever (23) to a first end of a rocker arm (35), the rocker arm (35) having a first end linked via the rod (31) to the first mobile pin (27) and having an opposite end rotatably connected to a second member (5) by a fixing pin (37) spaced from a pivot pin (7). A median portion of the rocker arm (35) has a second mobile pin (41) for sliding in a second slot (43) of the first member (3), the second slot (43) being rectilinear, curved, or S or C shaped.

Hinge

A hinge includes a rotating shaft, two pivoting parts, and a seat. The rotating shaft includes a friction section and a protruding section coaxially extending from the friction section. Each of the pivoting parts includes a connecting piece and a sleeve piece. Each sleeve piece is extended from an edge side of the corresponding connecting piece, and bent and wrapped to form a sleeve hole. Each sleeve piece is configured to be sleeved on the friction section, and the two sleeve pieces on the peripheral surface of the friction section are bent and wrapped in different directions respectively. The seat includes a shaft hole. The friction section and the sleeve pieces are jointly arranged in the shaft hole, the connecting piece is fixed on the seat, and the protruding section protrudes out of the seat.

Vehicle interior component

A vehicle interior component comprising a cover rotatably coupled to a base at a pivot joint is disclosed. The component may comprise a mechanism comprising a projection engaging a first surface when the cover is closed and engaging a ramp as the cover is rotated between closed and open positions. The pivot joint may comprise an axle to provide an axis of rotation. The pivot joint may comprise the projection on the axle. One of the projection and the ramp may slide along the other as the cover opens and/or closes. The mechanism may comprise a cam surface and a follower. The base and/or cover may flex at the pivot joint. The cover may comprise a door, bin or sunglass bin. The component may comprise a console, center stack/console, floor console, overhead console, instrument panel, door panel, etc.

Variable friction hinged device

The description relates to hinged devices, such as hinged computing devices. One example can include first and second portions that rotate around a hinge shaft that is fixedly secured to the first portion and rotationally secured to the second portion. The second portion defining a first contact surface spaced apart from a second contact surface. Multiple friction clips friction fit around the hinge shaft and rotating with the hinge shaft between the first contact surface and the second contact surface.

The present invention provides a damping mechanism comprising a first member comprising a base section, a resilient damping section and an enclosed chamber defined by the base section and an inner surface of the resilient damping section. The resilient damping section is centered about a rotation axis and the enclosed chamber is provided radially inward of the resilient damping section and configured to accommodate a deformation of the resilient damping section. A second member is attached pivotably to the base section of the first member to rotate around the rotation axis relative to the base section. A damping protrusion extends from the second member toward the resilient damping section. The resilient damping section comprises an outer surface facing away from the enclosed chamber which is configured to be engaged with the damping protrusion to produce the deformation of the resilient damping section and provide a damping to the rotation of the second member relative to the base section. According to the present invention, the damping mechanism is simple in structure and easy to manufacture and assemble.
