Vehicle door control system

In an aspect, a vehicle door control system for a vehicle having a vehicle body and a vehicle door is provided, and includes a check arm having an end that is mounted to one of the vehicle body and the vehicle door, a check arm holder at least a portion of which is mounted to the other of the vehicle body and the vehicle door, and a controller. The check arm holder is configured to apply at least three different amounts of braking force to the check arm. The controller is programmed to control the operation of the check arm holder based on input from at least one sensor.

The method including storing and correlating, over a defined time period, at least one of a curve of the control signal the first measured value, and a curve of at least one second measured value changing significantly in response to a collision of the adjusting part and an obstacle for a subsequent plausibility check.

A power assist device is provided herein. A motor is operatively coupled to a door of a vehicle. A controller controls the motor and a user-input device supplies to the controller one or more user-inputted selections for controlling door swing.

A door assembly includes a first door skin and a second door skin spaced apart from the first door skin. The assembly also includes an energy sensor generating an energy signature signal and a memory storing a door component operating signature. A controller is coupled to the accelerometer and forms a comparison of the energy signature signal to the door component operating signature and generates a door component operation status signal in response to the comparison.

The door opening and closing assisting apparatus includes: an information obtainer that obtains information on an opening and closing acceleration of the door; a door actuator that performs driving for assisting the opening and closing operation of the door; a target assisting power computer that computes a target assisting power for assisting the opening and closing operation of the door; and a controller that performs driving control for the door actuator based on the target assisting power. The controller starts the driving control for the door actuator at a timing at which the information obtainer obtains the opening and closing acceleration of the door.

An actuator assembly of an actuation system for a closure member of a vehicle is provided. The actuator assembly includes an actuator housing including a sensor housing. The actuator assembly also includes an electric motor disposed in the actuator housing and configured to rotate a driven shaft operably coupled to an extensible member that is coupled to one of a body or the closure member for opening or closing the closure member. The actuator assembly also includes an actuator controller disposed in the sensor housing of the actuator housing and coupled to electric motor and an accelerometer configured to sense movement of the closure member. The actuator controller is configured to detect the movement of the closure member using the accelerometer. The actuator controller then controls the opening or closing of the closure member based on the movement of the closure member using the electric motor.

A powered door system for a vehicle includes a system controller that is adapted to detect when an operator initiates closing of a door that is being maintained in an open position, a motor in communication with the system controller and adapted to move the door from the open position to a closed position, the system controller further adapted to, upon detection that an operator has initiated closing of the door, maintain a powered closing speed of the door from the open position to a pinch point, slow the closing speed of the door when the door reaches the pinch point, and allow the door to freely move to a closed position.
