A switch includes two terminals configured to be electrically coupled to a tailgate power circuit that supplies power to at least a portion of a tailgate of a vehicle, and an actuator configured to electrically couple the two terminals in an on state to allow power to flow in the tailgate power circuit, and to electrically decouple the two terminals in an off state to inhibit power from flowing in the tailgate power circuit.

A powered trailer door operating system can include a guide track having a lower guide track portion and an upper guide track portion; a drive support coupled to the upper guide track portion having a drive shaft positioned within a central cavity; and a carriage slidingly coupled to the drive support and operably coupled to the trailer door. The carriage can be operably engaged with the drive shaft through the slot such that rotation of the drive shaft causes the carriage to translate along the drive support, thereby moving the trailer door between the open and closed positions.

The modular electronic deadbolt also includes a battery module configured to be operatively coupled to the bolt module. The battery module includes a second housing configured to receive a power source, and a face plate coupled to the second housing. The faceplate defines a second longitudinal axis and includes an extension that extends along the second longitudinal axis. The extension is configured to removably couple the bolt module to the battery module such that the first longitudinal axis is substantially orthogonal to the second longitudinal axis.

The processor circuit is configured to cause actuation of the motor in response to receipt of the state change request, detect, based on the load value, a disengagement between the motor and the movable barrier, and cause a communication to be sent, in response to detecting the disengagement, to a remote server, the communication indicative of motor disengagement.
