SYSTEM FOR ADJUSTING A CLOSURE ELEMENT OF A VEHICLE
20190078373 · 2019-03-14 ·

A system for adjusting a closure element of a vehicle comprises an adjustment drive for adjusting the closure element relative to a vehicle body of the vehicle between a closed position and an open position, a control device for actuating the adjustment drive for executing an adjusting movement of the closure element between the closed position and the open position, and a light generating device for generating a light signal. The control device is configured to actuate the light generating device for generating a first light signal during an adjusting movement of the closure element and for generating a second light signal when the closure element is in the open position.

Continuous calibration of a control device

A device has a distance sensor and a transmitter. The distance sensor, attached to a barrier, measures an opening formed by the barrier. The transmitter transmits a control signal to a barrier controller. The barrier controller controls a movement of the barrier based on the control signal. The device receives a requested size of the opening. The device transmits, to the barrier controller, a first control signal that instructs the barrier controller to move the barrier and a second control signal that instructs the barrier controller to stop the movement of the barrier after an elapsed time has expired. The device measures a final size of the opening and adjusts the elapsed time based on the final size of the opening and the requested size of the opening.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPENING AND CLOSING VEHICLE DOOR

A method for opening and closing a door of a vehicle may include receiving a signal indicative of either opening or closing the vehicle door, determining whether the opening or closing will be performed by an operator or via a powered actuator based on the signal, and generating, if the opening or closing will be performed by the powered actuator, a first control signal indicative of a first position to which the door is to be moved. The method may further include controlling the powered actuator to cause the door to move from an original position to the first position.

MONITORING SYSTEM

A system for monitoring safety-relevant functions of a door closer for the leaf of a door being used in particular as a fire protection barrier, of a window, or the like comprises a sensor system associated with the door closer for detecting predefinable operating variables of the door closer and a control and/or evaluation device connected to the sensor system for monitoring compliance with predefinable safety functions of the door closer on the basis of the operating variables detected by the sensor system.

Method and Apparatus Pertaining to Message-Based Functionality

A movable barrier operator transmits a message to a remote peripheral platform and, upon determining that the remote peripheral platform is presently able to carry out a given functionality, responsively permits a particular function to be carried out by the movable barrier operator. Conversely, upon determining that it cannot be ascertained whether the remote peripheral platform is presently able to carry out the given functionality, the movable barrier operator responsively prevents the movable barrier operator from carrying out the particular function. Also, upon detecting that a targeted remote platform does not acknowledge a previously re-transmitted message and further upon detecting that this same remote platform has also not acknowledged a subsequent wirelessly-transmitted second message, the system can switch to automatically retransmitting that second message a lesser number of times than would otherwise be required.

Method for adjusting an adjusting part on a vehicle and storing signal curves and measured value curves for subsequent testing

A method for adjusting an adjusting part of a vehicle including controlling by an electronic detection device configured to detect a potential obstacle in an adjustment path of the adjusting part based on at least one first measured value and generates at least one control signal. The method including storing and correlating, over a defined time period, at least one of a curve of the control signal the first measured value, and a curve of at least one second measured value changing significantly in response to a collision of the adjusting part and an obstacle for a subsequent plausibility check.
