Described is an electronic delivery door for permitting passage of an object between an interior and an exterior of a structure through an opening defined in the structure, the delivery door comprising: a door panel; a hinge assembly including: one or more hinges for securing the door panel within the opening of the structure and for permitting the door panel to move between a closed position and an open position by rotation of the one or more hinges, wherein: in the closed position, the opening is covered by the door panel; and in the open position, the one or more hinges have been rotated to permit passage of objects through the opening; and an electronic security device configured to selectively permit opening of the door panel.

The system comprises a trunk sensor system configured for detecting items in a luggage trunk, a trunk lid actuator for automatic closing of the trunk lid, and a control unit connected to the trunk sensor system and to the trunk lid actuator. The control unit is arranged for statistically determining, based on a set of observations of a trunk interior space by means of the trunk sensor system in connection with termination of a set of vehicle travels, one or more items or combination of items that are frequently remaining in the luggage trunk after completed travel, while preferably taking into account the one or more items stored in the luggage trunk during the travel, detecting opening of the trunk lid, detecting current items in the luggage trunk by means of the trunk sensor system, and controlling the trunk lid actuator for automatic closing of the trunk lid when the current items correspond to said one or more items or combination of items that are frequently remaining in the luggage trunk after a journey. The disclosure also relates to a corresponding computer-implemented method for automatically closing a trunk lid of a vehicle luggage trunk.

A package delivery system includes a door access panel that is moveable between an open position and a closed position, and a frame configured to be carried by a door adjacent a passageway and configured to movably mount the door access panel. The system includes an actuator, a motor, and a controller to control selective actuation of the door access panel. The system also includes a wireless communication interface to communicatively couple the controller and a smart device for receiving a remote input to actuate the door access panel between the closed and opened positions. The system further includes a user interface configured to receive local input for actuation of the door access panel.
