Device for releasing and resetting a fire and smoke barrier
11505985 · 2022-11-22 ·

The invention relates to a device for releasing and resetting a fire and smoke barrier. In a normal use state, a clutch member is held by an electromagnetic attraction unit, so that a push rod ejecting module cannot be actuated, and a door operator is controlled by a clutch module thereof. Upon power failure, for example upon an accident, the clutch member is released by the electromagnetic attraction unit, and a barrier release member is activated by the push rod ejecting module so as to shut the fire and smoke barrier. Upon power restoration, the clutch member is attracted and held by the electromagnetic attraction unit, and the push rod ejecting module is reset by a push rod resetting module. At the same time, the barrier release member is also reset.

BACKPLATE FOR A DOOR ACTUATOR

A backplate for a door actuator includes at least one first mounting element and a second mounting element, wherein one of the two mounting elements is formed for fastening to a mounting surface, in particular door, casing or wall, and the other mounting element is formed for receiving the door actuator. The backplate also includes, at least one connecting assembly, which in a retaining position, keeps the two mounting elements together and, in a release position, does not keep the two mounting elements together, and at least one shape memory assembly with a shape memory element made from shape memory material, wherein, upon thermal activation, the shape memory assembly moves the connecting assembly to the release position.

Safe assembly

A safe assembly includes a housing having a top wall, a bottom wall, a first side wall, a second side wall, a rear wall and a door. The door having a locking mechanism to releasably lock the door in a closed position. Each of the walls includes an outer panel of steel material defining an exterior of the housing. An inner panel of steel material is spaced from the outer panel and has an exterior face facing the outer panel. The exterior face comprises a highly reflective surface. An insulating material is positioned between and fills a space between the outer and inner panels. A plurality of mating flanges is attached to the walls such that each of the walls includes a mating flange securable to a mating flange on one more adjacently positioned one of the walls to form the completed housing.

FIRE PROTECTION FASTENING DEVICE FOR FASTENING A DOOR ACTUATOR

A fire protection fastening device for fastening a door actuator, includes a frame with a back side, which is to be oriented to a mounting surface, in particular to a door, casing or wall, wherein a mounting axis is defined vertically to the back side. The frame is formed for arrangement between a door actuator and the mounting surface or is an integral component of the door actuator (102), at least one reaction chamber formed in the frame, wherein the frame delimits the reaction chamber on the entire circumference. The reaction chamber is open on the back side and/or on a front side of the frame opposite the back side. The device further includes a drive element made from thermally intumescent material disposed in the reaction chamber and, when activated, is formed for pushing away the door actuator from the mounting surface.

Systems and methods for mitigating liftgate from contacting objects while closing

A vehicle includes a liftgate system for mitigating a liftgate from contacting an object within a closing path of the liftgate. The liftgate system includes the liftgate, a camera, and a processor. The liftgate includes a surface facing an interior of the vehicle when the liftgate is closed. The camera is disposed on the surface. The processor detects, via the camera, an object within a closing path of the liftgate. The processors estimate a trajectory of the object when the object is in motion. The processor controls the liftgate based on the estimated trajectory and a speed setting at which the liftgate closes.
