In example implementations, a method is provided. The method includes determining, by a processor, that a vehicle is approaching a door of a building based on a velocity vector of the vehicle, calculating, by the processor, a time of arrival of the vehicle at the door based on the velocity vector of the vehicle and a distance of the vehicle from the door, and controlling, by the processor, the door to begin opening at a time based on the time of arrival and an amount of time for the door to open such that the door is opened when the vehicle arrives at the door.

Switch arrangements for powered doors

Switch arrangements for powered doors are disclosed. A door includes a panel and a track to guide movement of the panel between an open position and a closed position. The track defines a track slot extending along an exterior length of the track. The door further includes a sensor target to be carried by the panel within the track. The door also includes a sensor selectively attachable to an exterior of the track via the track slot. The sensor to detect the sensor target when the panel is in a first position. The track defines an aperture to be positioned between the sensor target and the sensor when the panel is in the first position.

SOUNDPROOF DOOR SYSTEM

A soundproof door system includes a chute; a door body, where a bottom of the door body is inserted into the chute and able to slide along the chute; a first roller disposed on the bottom of the door body and supported on a bottom wall of the chute; a first soundproof plate provided with a first end connected to the door body and a second end abutting against an inner wall of the chute; a second soundproof plate provided with a third end connected to the door body and a fourth end abutting against the inner wall of the chute; and the first end and the third end are respectively located on two sides of the door body, and the second end and the fourth end are respectively located on both sides of the door body.

METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE DOOR POSITION IN A DOOR SYSTEM
20220316254 · 2022-10-06 ·

The present invention relates to a method for determining the door position in a door system which has a rail for guiding a movable door element and a sensor element (10) for detecting a free movement path of the door element (50), the method comprising the steps of: detecting the state of the at least one sensor element (10), which can either be free of the door element (50) or covered by the door element (50), such that, in the event of a change in the state of the sensor element (10), the arrangement position of the sensor element (10) corresponds to the door element (50), and a door control lines the door position with the aid of this information.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SAFETY MANAGEMENT IN ROLL-UP DOORS
20230203876 · 2023-06-29 ·

A safety curtain and system includes multiple light emitters and multiple light receivers to detect traffic approaching a doorway. The safety curtain may include pairs of multiple light emitters and receivers positioned on both sides of a passageway (doorway) so as to detect approaching traffic. The multiple light emitters and light receivers may detect a height of an approaching traffic (e.g., person or vehicle) and initiate warning lights of a possible door closing. The detected approach of traffic may cause the door to be stopped, reversed or slow down. The system may include a computer to monitor the signals from the receivers and may control the motion of the door.

Rolling gate having a door leaf in the form of a flexible curtain

A high-speed rolling gate comprising a door leaf in the form of a flexible curtain, lateral guides in which lateral edges of the door leaf are received, and a drive which generates a driving force for driving the door leaf, wherein the door leaf has an elastically designed terminating element on a forward edge which is tensioned between the lateral guides by means of laterally applied transverse force components. The driving force of the drive engages on the terminating element of the door leaf and provides the laterally applied transverse force components for tensioning the terminating element of the door leaf and a tension force component substantially directed in the movement direction of the door leaf for closing the door leaf.

SWITCHING DEVICE FOR SWITCHING AN ELECTRIC MOTOR

A switching device for switching an electric motor, where the switching device is arranged on a component which is driven in rotation by the motor. The switching device is characterized in that a contactless, absolute position-measuring device, an evaluation unit for evaluating position signals and an output unit for outputting switching information for indirectly switching and/or directly switching the motor current as a function of a position signal are provided within a single housing.

Bi-fold overhead door with concealed hydraulic cylinder

A bi-fold overhead door system that includes a frame, a bi-fold overhead door and a hydraulic cylinder. The bi-fold overhead door has an upper door leaf and a lower door leaf. The upper door leaf is pivotally mounted to the frame. The lower door leaf is pivotally mounted to the upper door leaf. The hydraulic cylinder has a first cylinder end and a second cylinder end. The first cylinder end is operably attached to the frame. The second cylinder end is operably attached to the upper door leaf. The hydraulic cylinder is capable of moving the bi-fold overhead door between a closed configuration and an open configuration. At least one of the frame and the upper door leaf has a slot formed therein. When the bi-fold overhead door is in the closed configuration, the hydraulic cylinder is substantially recessed in the slot.

CONTROL SYSTEMS FOR OPERATION OF LOADING DOCK EQUIPMENT, AND ASSOCIATED METHODS OF MANUFACTURE AND USE

Systems and associated methods for controlling operation of loading dock equipment are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the system and associated methods can be used to control operation of loading dock equipment (e.g., a vehicle restraint, a dock door, a dock leveler, etc.) according to a preset sequence of operations. The system can include a display screen that sequentially presents a series of graphical control elements (e.g., touch-sensitive buttons) that enable operation of the loading dock equipment in an appropriate sequence. Additionally, the visual appearance and/or sequence of presentation of the graphical control elements indicate the proper sequence of selection to the user, thereby reducing user confusion and simplifying the operation of the loading dock equipment.

Dual door control for farm implement

A door control system for a farm implement with a storage bin having a discharge opening and a door movable by a drive mechanism between open and closed positions relative to the discharge opening includes a dual position door control system. The system includes at least two controllers at spaced positions relative to the door and coupled to a drive mechanism for opening and closing the door.
