A pivot bar in the nature of a screw with a head and a threaded portion for lateral adjustment at the site of a window installation is provided. A receiver is integrally formed in the bottom rail of a window sash, the receiver defined as a channel sized and shaped to frictionally engage with the threaded portion of the screw to structurally support the pivot bar during use. The pivot bar is rotatably engaged to position the threads within the receiver and laterally adjusted relative to the distance between the window sash and the window jamb such that the screw head mates with the pivot bar shoe associated in the corresponding window jamb, accounting for any measuring variances between the window jamb and the window sash. A method of installing a laterally adjustable pivot bar is also provided.

Power window operators, windows and methods

Power window operators, windows including the power window operators, and methods of using the same are described herein. The power window operators may offer the ability to control the timing and/or speed of the lock/unlock motion relative to the open/close motions of the operator arm of the power window operator and, if provided, a sash being driven by the power window operator.

A sash (62) of a window opening up to 180° and capable of tilting is mounted onto a fixedly installed frame profile (63) and houses a pair of superimposing sashes that fit tightly therein when in closure position, i.e. an upper stationary sash (65) and a lower movable-divertible sash (64), each of the sashes (64,65) provided with laterally extending shafts (49) for connection with sash (62), roller wheels (50) provided onto the shafts (49) of sash (64) that roll within a predefined path created by insert guide profile members (19) and diverter guide members (66,68) to alternately bring sash (64) in a position of superimposing sash (65) and a position of alignment with the same. Lifting mechanisms (46) provided with a regulatory screw (84) for adjusting the pretension of a spring component thereof and thereby the force required by the user for moving the sash (64) are installed within the vertically extending sides of the sash (62).

LOW PROFILE CRANK HANDLE ASSEMBLY FOR FENESTRATION UNIT
20230235608 · 2023-07-27 · ·

A crank handle assembly for actuating a panel of a fenestration unit relative to a frame includes an arm. The arm is elongate and is configured to be supported at one end by the frame for rotation to actuate the moveable panel relative to the frame. The crank handle assembly also includes a knob that is moveably attached to an opposite end of the arm and that extends therefrom. The knob is supported for movement between an aligned position and a misaligned position relative to the arm. The arm and the knob cooperatively define a crank handle longitudinal axis. The knob, in the aligned position, is aligned with the arm and the crank handle longitudinal axis is straight. The knob, in the misaligned position, is misaligned with the arm, and the crank handle longitudinal axis is nonlinear.

SOLAR LOADING OFFSET FOR ENVIRONMENT CONTROL

A fenestration unit controller can be used to control automated opening or closing of fenestration units such as windows.
