At least one of the luggage compartments of the vehicle is assigned to the passenger via a central computing unit such that the passenger receives an access authorization. A request for granting a release of the at least one luggage compartment assigned to the passenger is input into a device. The access authorization of a person inputting the request is checked via a computing unit inside of the vehicle and/or the central computing unit. If checking by the computing unit, the computing unit obtains access authorization data from the central computing unit. If the person inputting the request is authorized, the at least one luggage compartment assigned to the passenger is released.

The flap is movable between covering the compartment and a position for accessing the compartment in which the flap is moved to allow free access to the compartment. The flap being mounted so that the second face keeps its attitude during the transition from one position to the other. The flap in access position is raised and moved forward to cover the panel.

Sensor signals are detected by the distance sensor in order to detect an operator action carried out by an operator of the vehicle, wherein the sensor signals are analyzed by the control assembly in an analysis routine in order to detect a specified operator action, and the chive assembly is actuated by the control assembly upon detecting the specified operator action. In some embodiments, when a specified charging criterion is satisfied, the analysis routine is carried out by the control assembly in a specified charging mode, in which the analysis of the sensor signals is modified on the basis of an analysis during a normal operation.
