Tower segment and manufacturing method
A tower segment, in particular for a tower of a wind turbine, a wind turbine, and a method for manufacturing a tower segment is provided. A tower segment, in particular for a tower of a wind turbine, comprising a casing segment with an inner casing surface, an outer casing surface and a cutout for a door, wherein the inner casing surface has a first inner reinforcing portion and/or the outer casing surface has an outer reinforcing portion, wherein the inner reinforcing portion and/or the outer reinforcing portion adjoin the cutout, and the inner reinforcing portion has an inner reinforcing plate and/or the outer reinforcing portion has an outer reinforcing plate.
Arcuate drive through bin door assembly
A drive through bin door having a curved bottom I-beam connected to an inner and outer door frame. The door frames have a curved top member connected to a pair of posts by a plurality of nuts and bolts. A door panel is hingedly connected to one of the door frames.
Window for an above-ground pool
A window for an above-ground pool is provided. The window includes a window portion (200) and a retainer bracket (250). The window portion (200) includes a window pane (210) and a peripheral rim (220) around a perimeter of the window pane (210). The peripheral rim (220) defines grooves (230) between inner and outer flanges (245, 235) on opposite side of the peripheral rim (220). The retainer bracket (250) includes a peripheral rim junction (260), a peripheral plate (270) and a joint (265) connecting the peripheral rim junction (260) and the peripheral plate (270).
Flexible drip cap
Flexible drip cap for use with fenestration units and related methods. The flexible drip cap includes a flange member and a cap member attached to each other along a length of the drip cap, with a seal member located between the flange member and the cap member. The seal member provides a seal to limit water infiltration between the flange member and the cap member when the drip cap is positioned on a fenestration unit.
SHOE MOLDING WITH CASING JUNCTION
Shoe molding for use with a door casing having a face with a given contour. The shoe molding includes a body extending from a free end to junction end, the body having a profile with a wall edge and a floor edge and a face extending between the edges. A junction cavity is defined in the junction end of the body extending in from the wall edge. The junction cavity defines an interior surface having a configuration which complements the given contour.
Bent, veneer-encapsulated heat-treated safety glass panels and methods of manufacture
A laminated, bent, safety glass panel (30) for architectural or interior uses and a method of manufacturing such panels. The panel comprises a single heat-treated bent glass sheet, fully-tempered or heat-strengthened, forming a substrate (32) encapsulated by at least one thin, chemically-strengthened, glass veneer sheet (38). The veneer sheet (38), an alkali-aluminosilicate or other alkali-containing glass recipe strengthened by ion-exchange treatment, is cold-bent over a polymer interlayer (40) and permanently laminated to form a protective barrier on the heat-treated glass that dampens the explosive release of its internal residual stresses in the event of breakage thereby preventing particles dislodging and subsequent disintegration. The vulnerable perimeter (37) and perforation (45) edges of the veneer sheet (38) are equal in size or inset to the edges of the heat-treated substrate (32) with its deeper robust compressive stresses. Veneers may be laminated to both major substrate surfaces.
Multi-piece bezel for electro-optic window assembly
A window mounting assembly includes a multi-piece bezel having a first portion having an attachment feature, and a second portion having a retention feature. The retention feature is configured to engage the attachment feature such that an inner opening is defined having an inner wall. The inner wall defines a channel. An electro-optic element is disposed in the opening and configured for reception in the channel of the inner wall.
Removable overlay panel for existing garage door
A panel overlay system for embellishing an existing metal multi-panel articulating overhead garage door is disclosed. Plural lightweight panels are removably attached to the panels of the existing garage door with magnets. Each panel comprises an underlayment sheet that provides a relatively rigid structural backing, and thin wood veneer adhesively bonded to the outer-facing major surface of the backing sheet. The veneer includes plural vertical demarcations; when multiple panels are installed the demarcations on adjacent panels align to give the appearance of elongated vertical boards. Vertical and horizontal members are placed at desired positions on the veneertypically the vertical members are aligned along the side edges of the panel and the horizontal member extends across the middle of the panel so that the entire installation provides the appearance of a garage door typical of the well-known rail and stile carriage house design.
