Sill systems for sliding fenestration units

Various aspects of the disclosure relate to modular sill systems for sliding panel doors and windows, collectively “sliding fenestration units.” In various examples, modular sill systems include multiple separate and distinct base components that provide tracks on which one or more panels are able to slide.

A subsill positioned at least partially under a sill in a sill assembly. The sill assembly positioned under a door or window. Two or more pressure chambers extend lengthwise between the subsill and sill. Pressure chambers can extend one behind another. The subsill can include a backstop with some of the pressure chambers extending lengthwise between the backstop and the sill. Apertures in the pressure chambers are positioned to force water to flow by a circuitous path.

Window assemblies and methods for their construction are disclosed. In one aspect, the disclosed window assemblies include wooden side jambs connected to a non-wooden sill assembly via intermediately positioned end caps. In some examples, each end cap includes a main body and a step defined within the main body for supporting an end of the sill assembly, wherein the step extends at an oblique angle to a length of the side jamb associated with the end cap. The provision of an angled or obliquely oriented shelf eliminates the need to mill a similarly shaped structure within the wooden side jambs.

Adjustable exercise device

An adjustable kettlebell or exercise device includes a handle device formed on a receptacle, and one or more weight members selectively engageable into the receptacle, and a control device includes a shaft engaged through the receptacle and engageable through the weight members for selectively anchoring either of the weight members to the receptacle with the shaft. The weight members each include a bore for engaging with the shaft, and an opening communicating with the bore of the weight members, and the shaft includes one or more pins engageable through the openings of the weight members for selectively engaging with the weight members.

A sill pan is disclosed that is configured for use in spanning rough openings of various lengths. The sill pan includes a base, a pre-formed end flange integral with and extending upwardly from a side edge of the base, a first connector portion formed in the base adjacent to the pre-formed end flange, and a second connector portion formed in the base adjacent to an end opposite to the pre-formed end flange. The sill pan is configured be attachable to an adjacent sill pan with one of the first connector portion and the second connector portion.

FLASHING FOR A BUILDING
20200386039 · 2020-12-10 ·

A sill pan for a building opening has a bottom plate with a first end, a second end, a front edge and a rear edge. An end wall is located at the first end of the bottom plate and extends substantially away from the first end in a direction that is substantially perpendicular to the bottom plate. The end wall has a front edge and a rear edge that are coplanar to the front and rear edges of the bottom plate, respectively. A front skirt and a rear skirt are connected to the front and rear edges, respectively, of the bottom plate and the end wall. The bottom plate, end wall, front skirt, and rear skirt are vacuum formed as a unitary body from a foldable material. The bottom plate is self-supporting in a no-load condition and conformable to a load applied during installation in the building opening.

Continuous sill for doors with sidelites

Disclosed is a sill assembly and sill that can be positioned continuously under doorways with swing doors, sidelites, and vertical door frame members such as vertical jambs, and mull posts, or the vertical members of sidelites. One variation of the sill assembly can be used for inswing doors while another can be used for outswing doors. The sill assembly includes a backstop and optionally can include end dams. These in combination with the structure of the sill assembly shed water away from the building structure and allow for the possibility of the sill assembly being installed without an additional sill pan or flashing. The sill assembly can optionally include one or more thermal breaks. The sill assembly can be structured so the thermal breaks of the door, sidelites, and vertical door frame members all align with the thermal breaks of the sill assembly.
