SELF-CLOSING SAFETY GATE

Self-closing safety gate embodiments are disclosed herein. The self-closing safety gates include a hinge plate configured to rotate about a vertical support member and engage a hoop portion. In some embodiments, the hinge plate includes at least one support arm portion with a channel. In such embodiments, the channel can be configured to receive and frictionally engage a hoop arm of the hoop portion with a compressive fastener. In some embodiments, the self-closing safety gate can be damped.

Stanchion or Post with a Spring-Loaded Assembly

A pedestrian flow control system includes a first lateral boundary element and a second lateral boundary element, a passage for persons being formed between the lateral boundary elements; and a middle element arranged in the passage. The middle element is mounted at the bottom on a guide element oriented perpendicularly to the lateral boundary elements and can be moved along the guide element into at least a first position and a second position, is arranged between the lateral boundary elements and divides the passage into two aisles in the first position, openings the passage substantially over the whole width of the passage in the second position.

ELECTRICAL GROUND ASSEMBLY

A ground assembly for movable member includes an electrical ground connection that does not interfere with the movement and operation of the movable member. The movable member can be a sliding member, such as a sliding barrier, gate or closure member. In one embodiment, the ground assembly includes an electrical connector that moves relative to a fixed electrical grounding member. The electrical connector is fixed to the movable member and movable relative to the grounding member. The electrical connector moves along a length of the grounding member while maintaining contact with the electrical grounding member to provide a continuous grounding connection during movement of the movable member. In one embodiment, the fixed electrical grounding member is oriented with a longitudinal length parallel to the direction of movement of the movable member where the electrical connector of the movable member moves or slides along the length of the fixed electrical grounding member. In another embodiment, the electrical connector is fixed to the grounding member and the movable member includes a surface that slides in contact with the electrical connector by movement of the movable member relative to the grounding member.

COMPOSITE AUTOMATIC GATE PADDLE

Embodiments of the present invention may encompass gateline paddles that include a paddle body having a composite material forming an outer surface of the paddle body. The composite material may have a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface that define an open interior therebetween. The composite material may include a fiber-reinforced resin. The paddle body may include a cellular reinforcement member disposed within the open interior. The paddle body may include a mounting region formed along a lateral edge of the paddle body. The paddle body may include a mounting block disposed within a portion of the open interior disposed within the mounting region.

Latch apparatus with independent identical opposing latches

The present latch apparatus includes a swinging piece having first and second independent latches or sliders sliding in first and second slots. The first and second sliders slide independently of each other. The first and second sliders engage an undersurface of an extension of a first object such as a gate. If either the first or second slider is engaged on the undersurface, the swinging piece is locked and is not swingable such that the first object such as the gate cannot itself swing away from a second object such as a barrier section. Only when each of the first and second sliders has been slid beyond the undersurface can the swinging piece swing to permit the first object such as the gate to be released and thus swingable itself relative to the second object such as the barrier section.
