Disclosed are a composite aluminum alloy profile and a preparation method therefor. The composite aluminum alloy profile includes an outer decorative profile, a polyurethane elastomer structural adhesive, and an inner frame profile. The inner frame profile is an integral component of alkali-free glass fibers and polyurethane resin formed by one-time extrusion, and a cross section thereof is “custom-character”-shaped; and the outer decorative profile is connected to the inner frame profile through the polyurethane elastomer structural adhesive. The preparation method includes: preparing glass fibers and polyurethane materials of components A and B into a glass fiber resin reinforced profile by a compound strip-threading and injection machine, adhering the inner frame profile to the outer decorative profile through the polyurethane elastomer structural adhesive, and rolling the same. The profile has the features of heat and sound insulation and is easy to produce.

An element, having an insulating glass unit mounted in a metal frame assembly, may include an outer frame assembly comprising a unitary outer frame member, a plurality of mounting studs projecting from said outer frame member in perpendicular relationship in a first pattern aligned with a first complementary pattern of mounting bores defined in an insulation body assembly when the outer frame member is disposed in common alignment with the insulation body assembly, an inner frame assembly including a multi-part inner frame member having a set of discrete inner frame side members, a plurality of mounting studs projecting from the inner frame member in a second pattern aligned with a second complementary pattern of mounting bores in a rear surface of the insulation body assembly, each mounting bore having a respective mounting bore sidewall spaced from an aligned mounting stud received therein, and a curing connection medium in the plurality of mounting bores to define a plurality of mounting connections from the inner and outer frame assemblies to the insulating body assembly.

FENESTRATION THERMAL BREAK DESIGN
20240209679 · 2024-06-27 · ·

A profile for a fenestration system includes first and second members, and a thermal break extending between the first and second members. The thermal break is coupled to the first member at a thermal break interconnection that includes a tab extending laterally from a body, the tab including a head extending from the body and a stem extending from the head. A channel is defined between upper and lower flanges of the first member and provides a first chamber sized to receive the head, and a second chamber extending from the first chamber and sized to receive the stem. The head is larger than the stem, and the first chamber is larger than the second chamber. The thermal break is temporarily secured to the channel by advancing the tab into the channel, and permanently secured to the channel by crimping the flanges against the tab.

Removable, Reusable Mount for Plastic Foam Laminates on Architectural Glass and Kit

An optically clear, siliconized plastic film(1) adhesively mounted on an architectural glass substrate(7) creates a highly efficient seat for adhere able plastic foam laminates. This will allow the plastic foam laminates to be seated on the siliconized plastic film creating complete removability and reusability. Additionally, numerous adhesives can be specified for the plastic foam laminates wherein adhesive residue left on the glass will not be a design factor. In one embodiment the siliconized plastic film allows double sided tape(2) to be placed on the periphery of the laminate to achieve an excellent, glass removable bond for seating the film on a glass substrate. This makes an excellent, impervious seal. Also, heat transfer reductions range from approximately 89-98% depending upon the temperature extremes in Winter and Summer. Further, this invention provides good light transmission, improves privacy for bedroom glass, creates a display for brilliant artwork, reduces dust accumulations and creates instant removability. The material cuts as easy as paper and will be very simple to fabricate; therefore, this invention can be constructed with simple kits and installed by unskilled, do-it-yourself users.
