SCREEN CHANNEL INSERTS FOR FENESTRATION UNITS
A screen channel insert for use in connection with a fenestration unit frame including a spline channel. The screen channel insert includes a frame attachment portion for attaching the screen channel insert to the spline channel of the fenestration unit frame, and a channel portion defining an insert spline channel. The insert spline channel is configured to receive a spline to secure a screen to the screen channel insert. The insert spline channel can have different sizes than the spline channel of the frame, enabling the frame to be used with screens having different thicknesses.
KIT FOR A FRAME AND PROFILE CONNECTORS
The present invention relates to a kit (3) for a frame, in particular for a frame of an insect protective device, with a first preassembled frame unit (1) and a second preassembled frame unit (2), wherein the two frame units (1, 2) in each case have a first free profile strip (1.1, 2.1), a second free profile strip (1.2, 2.2), and a connecting device (1.3, 2.3) having at least one further profile strip (1.3a, 1.3b, 2.3a, 2.3b). The invention also relates to profile connectors (5) for such a kit (3).
ASSEMBLY TYPE VENTILATION DEVICE FOR WINDOWS AND DOORS
An assembly type ventilation device for windows and doors is disclosed. The assembly type ventilation device for windows and doors comprises: a filter frame provided with an insertion part into which an air filter module is detachably inserted and fixed; a first fixing part installed on one side of the filter frame and fixed to a window; and a second fixing part installed on the other side of the filter frame and fixed to a window frame.
Screen Installation Improvements
Disclosed are bumpers for ensuring a screen frame remains where it is placed in a window or door opening when there is insufficient retaining mechanisms. Methods for assisting with the installation and retainer of screens into window or door frames are also provided. The bumpers are made from a deformable and resilient material such as a dense elastomer and are attached to a distal surface of the screen frames using adhesive tape or glue. When the screen is installed, the bumper deforms and uses frictional force to keep the screen in place.
Screening Arrangement
In the screening arrangement a screening device provided with end pieces is adapted to be mounted on mounting brackets (6). Locking means are provided on the end pieces and the mounting brackets for providing engagement, between these. The locking means include mutually cooperating female and male locking means, of which the mounting brackets (6) are provided with two female locking means (12, 14) to cooperate successively with one male locking means of the respective end piece, so that it is possible to provide engagement between each end piece and the respective mounting bracket in at least two positions including a first, temporary position and a second, terminal position on the mounting bracket, when the end pieces are moved with the screening device in the third direction from the point distant from the pane to the point proximate to the pane.
HURRICANE RESISTANT FABRIC CLAMPS
A storm protection system for covering the opening of a building with a flexible material. The system includes a bracket having a first panel and a second panel, the panels each having a surface, the first surface and the second surface of the bracket having a plurality of protrusions disposed thereon (and various embodiments thereof). Another embodiment utilizing at least one inclined planar portion connected to a planar portion of the bracket at the first edge of the inclined planar portion and an elongated member connected to the at least one inclined planar portion for securing a flexible material. A last embodiment includes a planar bracket having a first end and a second end, the planar bracket made of a resilient material. All embodiments operable to hold a flexible material (fabric, screen . . . etc.) over an opening to a building to protect the opening during a storm.
MOUNTING ARRANGEMENT
A mounting arrangement comprised of a first component for attachment to a support, and a second component supportable by the first component. The first component has a first side which is in use distal from the second component and provides a supporting portion spaced from the first side. The second component provides an engagement portion for engagement with the supporting portion. The mounting arrangement provides a restraining part moveable between a restraining configuration for restraining disengagement of the engagement portion from the supporting portion, and a release configuration for allowing disengagement of the engagement portion from the supporting portion. The mounting arrangement further provides a securing component which is insertable between the second component and the first side of the first component to restrict disengagement of the engagement portion from the supporting portion.
Extendible barricade
An extendible barricade including a housing having a first panel located within the housing that is extendable from the housing, a second panel located within the housing that is extendible from the housing, wherein the housing is releasably attached to an overhead door by means of an attachment assembly. Furthermore, an associated method is also provided.
INSECT SCREEN FOR BOATS
An insect screen for boats, particularly for portholes and manholes, has a rigid frame that supports a rigid mesh and embeds an opposite pair of plate-like lobes that jut out from its internal edge and are provided with through holes crossed by respective bars that slide and revolve relative to the holes. Each bar is provided at one end with a hooked end section, folded at right angle, whereas the other end is associated with a knob that is subject to the thrust of a helical spring externally inserted on each bar in intermediate position between the knob and the lobes.
