A press-fit window insert configured to provide secondary protection to an existing window, having a carrier, a fin, and a fastening clip. The carrier includes a substantially rigid framework having channels within the framework configured to securely accept one or more attachments. The fin extends from the carrier and includes a substantially flexible blade extending from a base portion of the fin. The base portion of the fin is configured to interlock the fin to the carrier. The fastening clip includes a substantially rigid brim extending from a base portion of the fastening clip. The base portion of the fastening clip is configured to interlock the fastening clip to the carrier.

Disclosed are a built-in transfer hinge, a side hung door-window mounted with the built-in transfer hinge, a mounting method thereof, a horizontal pivoting window mounted with the built-in transfer hinge, and a mounting method for a hardware hinge therein. The built-in transfer hinge includes a frame connecting block, a sash connecting block, a hinge body (12), a two-link rod (13), a three-link rod (14), and a clutch rod (15). The two-link rod (13) and the three-link rod (14) are connected to the frame connecting block. One end of the hinge body (12) is connected to the two-link rod (13), the middle of the hinge body (12) is connected to the three-link rod (14), and the other end of the hinge body (12) is connected to the sash connecting block. The clutch rod (15) is connected between the sash connecting block and the three-link rod (14).
Window having hinged corner arrangement
A structural assembly for a frame includes a first rail, a second rail, a third rail, a fourth rail, a first pivotable bracket member coupling the first and second rails, and a second pivotable bracket member coupling the third and fourth rails. The first rail includes a first end, a second end, and a first groove extending a distance between the first end and the second end thereof. The second rail includes a first end, a second end, and a second groove extending a distance between the first end and the second end thereof. The third rail includes a first end, a second end, and a third groove extending a distance between the first end and the second end thereof. Glazing support system
A glazing assembly comprises a glazing support system for attaching a glazing unit to a frame element. The glazing support system comprises: a tension member for extending around a major portion of the periphery of the glazing unit 4; and a connection system for coupling the tension member to the frame element in at least two locations and for transferring tension forces from the tension member to the frame element whilst compression forces arising due to tension in the tension member are applied to the outside of the glazing unit.

The glazing support system comprises: a tension member for extending around a major portion of the periphery of the glazing unit 4; and a connection system for coupling the tension member to the frame element in at least two locations and for transferring tension forces from the tension member to the frame element whilst compression forces arising due to tension in the tension member are applied to the outside of the glazing unit.
Window Having Hinged Corner Arrangement
A structural assembly for a frame includes a first rail, a second rail, a third rail, a fourth rail, a first pivotable bracket member coupling the first and second rails, and a second pivotable bracket member coupling the third and fourth rails. The first rail includes a first end, a second end, and a first groove extending a distance between the first end and the second end thereof. The third rail includes a first end, a second end, and a third groove extending a distance between the first end and the second end thereof. The fourth rail includes a first end, a second end, and a fourth groove extending a distance between the first end and the second end thereof.
Framing system
A window system includes a window frame spatially separated from a subframe. The subframe has a receptor leg spatially separated from a wedge bead by a thermal break. The receptor leg includes a channel for directing liquid away from the subframe; a first gasket disposed between the receptor leg and the window frame at a first location; and a second gasket disposed between the receptor leg and the window frame at a second location. Liquid passing between the first gasket and the window frame is directed into the channel via the second gasket.
FRAMING SYSTEM
A window system includes a window frame spatially separated from a subframe. The subframe has a receptor leg spatially separated from a wedge bead by a thermal break. The receptor leg includes a channel for directing liquid away from the subframe; a first gasket disposed between the receptor leg and the window frame at a first location; and a second gasket disposed between the receptor leg and the window frame at a second location. Liquid passing between the first gasket and the window frame is directed into the channel via the second gasket.
