ACCESS DOOR ASSEMBLY AND RELATED METHODS
An access door assembly is for a floor structure. The access door assembly includes a door frame coupled to the floor structure and defining an opening aligned with a staircase, and an access door within the opening and having first and second longitudinal sides. The first longitudinal side defines a first opposing bevelled surface, and the floor structure adjacent the opening defines a second opposing bevelled surface. The access door assembly also includes an arm coupled to the access door and configured to pivot the access door between an open state and a closed state. The first and second opposing bevelled surfaces are aligned and abutting in the closed state, and are in spaced apart relation in the open state.

Attic Door Support And Trimming System
An attic door support and trimming system includes a plurality of frame sections each having a base wall with an inner edge, an outer edge, a top side and a bottom side, a first end and a second end. A vertical wall extends upwardly from the base wall and is spaced from the inner and outer edges. The first and second ends of different frame sections are positionable against each other to form a rectangular shaped frame. The frame sections each are telescopic to allow a size of the rectangular shaped frame to be adjusted. The top side of the first flange is abuttable against the ceiling adjacent to the opening and the top of the second flange supports a cover when the cover is placed in a closed position closing the opening.

INSULATED ATTIC HATCH
An attic access assembly includes an outer frame and a panel subassembly. The outer frame attaches to a ceiling and frames an attic opening. The panel subassembly includes a central panel that fits within the outer frame, and a flexible barrier that defines an insulation pocket extending upwardly from the central panel. The central panel may include an insulating foam material. The insulation pocket is used to contain an insulating material. Weatherstripping seals the panel subassembly to the outer frame. The panel subassembly may include a panel frame that fits within the outer frame, frames the central panel, and defines a groove to retain a weatherstripping seal.

FLOOD PROTECTION FOR UNDERGROUND AIR VENTS
Apparatus allowing ventilation through a ventilation shaft to an underground ventilation duct fluidly communicating through the ventilation shaft to an atmospheric opening of the shaft and on threat of flooding operable to prevent downward flow of surface water into the ventilation duct includes support sidewalls fitting in the shaft providing a ventilation passage between support top and bottom openings and a suspension member supported on opposed lateral sidewalls proximate the top opening holding one or more hinge connected panels that manually release to rotationally close the passage and are manually rotationally liftable to a home position allowing ventilation. A panel drain automatically closes when the panel is raised to home position. A releasable latching system between panel and a suspension member holder catches rising panels to hold them in home position. The suspension member may include end keys received in keyed supports so a specific panel faces a specific sidewall.

The panels have handles on their topside and pivotable arms on their underside and are liftable to an upright home position allowing ventilation, using tools to reach through grating covering openings on the shaft and lift the panel handles and after the panels are partially lifted, using reach tools to engage and lift the arms to press them again support sidewalls to exert lateral force on underside of the panels to complete upward rotation to the home position.
