Panel systems and components
A panel assembly includes two frame members and a plurality of panels extending between the frame members. Each panel has fastening elements at either end. The fastening elements are arranged to clip onto mating portions of the frame members, and are also arranged to frictionally engage internal surfaces of the panels to thereby hold the panels relative to the frame members.
Screening Element, Screen Assembly and Mounting System
Embodiments generally relate to a screening element, screen assembly, and associated fixing systems, components and methods. Such embodiments can be used for exterior protection of windows and/or building facades, particularly in commercial buildings and the like. Some embodiments relate to a lightweight screening element, awning or louvre blade that can be readily fixed and applied to the exterior of buildings or built structures so as to provide a screen. Some embodiments relate to a screening element, comprising: an elongate panel defining a first portion and a second portion angled relative to the first portion; and at least one solar panel connected to the first portion of the elongate panel.
A Slatted Screen
Disclosed herein is a slatted screen 10 comprising a frame comprising first and second opposite side members 12 and first and second opposite end members 14. A plurality of slats 18 extend between the side members 12. The slats 18 lie in a common plane P and comprise a first and second end slats 18a at opposite ends of a plurality of intermediate slats 18b. The intermediate slats 18b comprise a first group of slats 18b.sub.1 and a second group of slats 18b.sub.2, wherein the slats of the two groups are interspersed with each other. The slats 18b.sub.1 of the first group are angled relative to the common plane P at different angle to the slats 18b.sub.2 of the second group.
Hollow core door with perimeter air flow
Hollow core door apparatus for preventing the build up of pressure in a room having a register through which air flows into the room and the door includes an inside door skin and an outside door skin, and the door skins includes openings through which air flows and a center panel between the skins and spaced part from the skins. The center panel has an outer perimeter greater than the inner perimeter of the openings. The center panel is spaced apart from the skins, and also from the adjacent stiles and rails. A chamber is formed about the panel and between the adjacent stiles and rails and the openings in the skins. Air flow from the room is through the opening in the inside skin into the chamber, around the outer periphery of the panel, and outwardly through the opening in the outside skin in a non-linear manner.
Hollow core door with internal air flow and sliding panel
Hollow core door apparatus for preventing the build up of pressure in a room having a register through which air flows into the room and the door includes an inside door skin and an outer door skin, and the door skins includes openings through which air flows and panels disposed in the openings to define the amount of air flowing through the openings in the skins. The door also includes at least a single fixed panel and a movable panel, both of which panels include openings through which air flows when the openings in the panels are aligned and which air flow is restricted when the openings are misaligned. The inside and outside panels have peripheral openings defined between the openings in the skins and the panels disposed in the openings and which peripheral openings define areas at least as great as the area of the openings in the fixed and movable panels, and the openings in the fixed and movable panels are offset from the peripheral openings to provide for a non-linear flow of air through the door to prevent the build up of pressure in the room and to restrict the non-linear air flow through the door when the openings in the fixed and movable panels are misaligned. An embodiment combining a noxious gas absorbent material with the pressure build up prevention capability is also illustrated.

Planar optical member and daylighting device
A daylighting device of the present invention is provided with a planar optical member 1 and a support member. The planar optical member 1 is provided with a planar structure body which has a plurality of linear bodies 3 formed of optically transparent materials which are arrayed substantially in parallel and a plurality of binding members which are arranged in a direction which intersects with the plurality of the linear bodies 3 and which bind the plurality of the linear bodies 3 in a state of being arrayed substantially in parallel. The linear bodies 3 have reflective surfaces which reflect light which is incident to the linear body 3 along a direction which intersects with a length direction of the linear body 3 and refractive surfaces which refract the light. In at least a part of a planar structure body, the orientations of reflective surfaces of at least some of the linear bodies out of the plurality of linear bodies 3 substantially match and the orientations of the refractive surfaces of at least some of the linear bodies substantially match.
