Rail system
A rail system comprises: a guide rail; a plurality of stationary electromagnets mounted in the guide rail; and a carriage having a plurality of wheels configured to travel along the guide rail. The wheels are magnets. Movement of the carriage along the guide rail is brought about by a fluctuating magnetic field generated by the stationary electromagnets acting on the wheels.

Draw bar and brake arrangement for a draw bar
A brake arrangement, for a retractable screen arrangement in which the a screen roller applies a retraction force to the screen and brake arrangement, includes a brake arrangement, for providing a braking force between the brake arrangement and a track which guides the brake arrangement, to resist retraction. The brake arrangement provides a brake member with a friction surface for contacting the bearing surface; a brake member support for supporting the brake member; and a forcing arrangement for forcing the friction surface against the bearing surface. The forcing arrangement includes a biasing arrangement for biasing the friction surface onto the bearing surface, and a force-increasing arrangement for increasing the force with which the friction surface engages the bearing surface. The force increasing arrangement converts a frictional force between the friction surface and the track into additional contact pressure force of the friction surface onto the guide track.
System for guiding a flexible curtain
The present invention relates to a system for guiding a flexible curtain for at least partially closing an opening.

Apparatus and methods for door curtain breakaway detection
An example apparatus includes a sensor to detect a lateral edge of a door curtain within a guide of a door, and a controller to identify when the door curtain transitions from an operational state to a breakaway state based on a signal from the sensor, the operational state corresponding to when the lateral edge of the door curtain is enclosed by the guide as the door curtain moves between open and closed positions, and the breakaway state corresponding to when a portion of the lateral edge of the door curtain below an upper end of the guide breaks away from the guide.
VIBRATION ISOLATOR FOR OVERHEAD DOORS
In an example an overhead door track is provided. The overhead door track includes a vertical track section having an opening to receive a roller of a panel of an overhead door and to guide movement of the roller within the opening and a single solid polymer based vibration isolator coupled to the vertical track section to reduce vibration of the vertical track section caused by movement of the roller within the opening.

STORM SHUTTER SYSTEMS
An exemplary method involves operating a storm shutter system installed to a building adjacent an opening. The storm shutter system includes a panel, a motor operable to drive the panel between a first position and a second position, and a control assembly operable to control the motor. The method includes receiving, by the control assembly, information from an external device. The method further includes operating the motor to linearly drive the panel from the first position to the second position in response to receiving the information.
SAFETY DEVICE FOR A LIFTING GATE AND LIFTING GATE WITH SUCH A SAFETY DEVICE
The invention relates to a safety device for a lifting gate (1), in particular for a fast-running lifting gate (1) having a gate leaf (3) movable up and down and guided along both lateral gate opening edges in frames (10), a free leading edge (12) of the gate leaf (3) being assigned, at a distance (D) below the leading edge (12), to a photoelectric barrier (LS) which travels with the movement of the gate leaf (3), wherein the distance (D) can be reduced in a lower end region of a travel path of the gate leaf (3), and wherein at least a transmitting and/or a receiving unit and/or an opposite reflector unit of the photoelectric barrier (LS) is guided and/or arranged within a frame body (11) of the frames (10).
