BRAKE/BALLAST ASSEMBLY FOR A MOVABLE STRUCTURE
A brake/ballast assembly for a movable structure. The brake/ballast assembly includes a movable brake/ballast plate movable between a movable brake/ballast plate first position in which the movable brake/ballast plate is positioned proximate a fixed member and a movable brake/ballast plate second position in which the movable brake/ballast plate is spaced from the fixed member. An engagement member is connected to the movable brake/ballast plate. The engagement member is movable between an engagement member first position and an engagement member second position. When the engagement member is in the engagement member first position, the movable brake/ballast plate is provided in the movable brake/ballast plate first position allowing the movable structure to be moved along a surface. When the engagement member is in the engagement member second position, the movable brake/ballast plate is provided in the movable brake/ballast plate second position preventing the movable structure from moving relative to the surface.

Accessing apparatus
An apparatus used to assist workers with entry into a barge that allows a user to go over the barge wall and descend to access the bottom of the barge. The apparatus includes a first pathway 3, a landing 17 and a second pathway 4. The first pathway 3 has a low end 21 and a high end 22 and the second pathway has a landing end 23. The high end 22 is elevated from the low end 21 with the high end 22 being attached to the landing 17. The landing end 17 is attached to the landing. There is a frame 18 and at least one foot 2 attached to and supporting the frame 18. The low end 21 is attached to the frame 18. Included is a support segment 16 that has a first end 25 and a second end 24. The first end 25 is fixedly attached to the second pathway 4. There is also a holder 7 that is rotatably attached to the second end 24. And a ladder 6 that is slidably attached to that holder 7.

PORTABLE BATHTUB STEPSTOOL AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING THE SAME
The invention is directed to a device that allows a user to enter and exit a bathtub or other apparatus with a relatively high sidewall safely and easily. Particularly, the device comprises first and second sides that can be positioned on either surface of a bathtub sidewall. The first and second sides each include one or more braces that support a plurality of steps that enable a user to climb up one side of the device and down the other. The device can include one or more stabilizers that are sized and shaped to allow a user to securely grab onto as they advance up or down the steps, thereby maintaining balance. Advantageously, the first side can be rotated up and above the second side using hinges or any other rotatable element.
CONVERTIBLE CLIMBING STICK/PLATFORM
A mobile apparatus that is configurable as a climbing stick and a perch or platform without a tool includes a post, an upper step and an upper tree brace extending from a first end of the post, and a lower step and a lower tree brace extending from a second end of the post, and that further includes an extension configured to convert the upper step to a perch or platform without a tool.

TOP CAP FOR MULTI-POSITION LADDER
An multi-position ladder is disclosed that includes an adjustable top cap that provides a tool or material tool tray when the ladder is in a stepladder position and provides a step when the ladder is in an extension ladder position is disclosed. The top cap generally comprises a rigid frame extending between the adjustable hinges of the multi-position ladder with a tool or utility tray and a step surface on opposing sides. The tool tray is parallel to the ladder rungs when the ladder is in a stepladder position, and the step surface provides a generally planar surface parallel the rungs when the ladder is in an extension position. The rigid frame of the top cap adds strength to the adjustment hinge and to the multi-position ladder. Embodiments allow for 12-inch hinge spacing, adding one foot reach in the extension position and six inch reach to the stepladder.
