Foldable balcony balustrade-combined fire/disaster evacuation facility
The present invention relates to a facility comprising: a fixed frame fixedly installed on an outer wall of a veranda or a balcony of a high-rise building; a foldable evacuation box which can be unfolded in the form of a rectangular parallelepiped having an open top side and has and evacuation door on a side thereof; a fall prevention and evacuation means which can be structurally changed to an emergency stairway for fire evacuation; an evacuation box locking means which allows the foldable evacuation box to be unfolded in a rectangular parallelepiped form; a locking means which holds and fixes the fall prevention and evacuation means to the fixed frame; and an entry prevention door which prevents an evacuee from entering inside a veranda or a balcony from the foldable evacuation box through the fixed frame.
Ladder blocking device
The invention presented is a ladder blocking device attached to a ladder to prevent unauthorized use of the ladder. In one embodiment, the device includes a plurality of prongs that extends from a support system that holds the device onto the ladder. In one alternate embodiment, a shield rests over and is supported by the prongs. In second alternate embodiment, the shield is attached directly to the support system without the presence of the prongs.
Device for prevention of ladder use
The invention, according to an embodiment, is a foldable, adjustable, and lockable cover for a plurality of rungs of a ladder. The device renders a ladder prohibitively difficult to climb. In an embodiment, the device is attached to a ladder using a lock, such as a bike lock or padlock, at a top portion of the device, rendering it difficult to for an unauthorized user to climb the ladder to cut any lock holding the device in place and/or remove the ladder.
WALKTHROUGH AND STANDOFF MECHANISMS FOR LADDERS, LADDERS INCORPORATING SAME AND RELATED METHODS
A ladder and ladder accessory are provided including an accessory that may be coupled to the ladder in multiple configurations and serve multiple purposes. In one embodiment, a pair of components are each selectively coupled with associated rails of a ladder in a first, stored state, and a second, walkthrough state. When in the walkthrough state, the components extend upwards from and above the rails so that a user may gasp the components and step between the components when transitioning from the ladder to an elevated surface (e.g., a roof) or vice versa. In another embodiment, the components may be coupled to the ladder such that they extend in a direction that is substantially transverse to a plane through which the rails extend. When in this transverse orientation, the components may be used as a stand-off device.

Ladder with safety device
The ladder safety device is for blocking access to the lower rungs of a portable extension ladder. During use, the ladder may have to remain positioned against a structure in that it is part of the temporary scaffolding or for other reasons. In one embodiment, a container having a width slightly less than the width between the side rails is positioned on a higher rung by a pair of hooks. A slot in the container has one end of a flexible panel extending therefrom with hooks thereon. The panel is unwound upon a controllable shaft when pulled from the container and the lower hooks are attached to a lower rung. A locking device must be activated to allow for the removal of the lower hooks and then the retraction of the panel into the container. The device may be incorporated into the rung.
LADDER, COMPONENTS THEREOF, AND ACCESSORIES FOR USE THEREWITH
A gate assembly may include a gate which includes a first end and a second end, one or more hinges coupled to the first end of the gate, wherein at least one of the one or more hinges includes an offset spring assisted hinge including a hinge rivet, a spring, a plunger, a hinge bolt, and a support tube, a stop coupled to the second end of the gate and configured to contact a stop mounting bracket, and a mounting bracket attached to the one or more hinges, wherein the gate is rotatably coupled to the mounting bracket via the one or more hinges.
Climbing Inhibition System
A climbing inhibition system for inhibiting a person from vandalizing a bridge includes a bridge that has a lateral surface. The lateral surface has a ledge extending outwardly therefrom. A wedge is coupled to the lateral surface of the bridge. Thus, the wedge may inhibit a person from gaining a foothold on the ledge thereby inhibiting the person from defacing or vandalizing the lateral surface.
Safety hatch system
In one embodiment, an electronically controlled hatch system for safe ingress, egress, hazard detection, and methods thereof are provided to reduce or eliminate hazards to personnel, including protection of people above and below a scuttle hatch, access port, skylight or elevated deck. Said hatch system reduces the risk of falls while ascending or descending a ladder through an access port. In certain embodiments, severe weather, hazard, security, and other safety information are detected and transmitted to a central control unit for processing and regulating the opening and closing of a hatch covering the access port and/or raising and lowering a safety railing system based on said information and/or user input. Said hatch system may include an actuator and guides for automatically locking/unlocking and opening/closing a hatch, an actuator and guides for automatically raising/lowering a railing system, safety monitoring detectors/apparatuses, and a centralized controller.
Automatic savety pool ladder for an above-ground swimming pool
The present invention relates to an automatic safety pool ladder for an above-ground swimming pool composed of a set of rotative self-closing steps where the retracted position prevents access to water and where access to open steps is easily controlled by user through a lever arm and positioned so that the arm is not accessible to children.
