SAFETY LADDER
A safety ladder for mounting between a support surface and a ground surface includes two support assemblies and parallel step members pivoted between the support assemblies. Each support assembly includes first and second support rods each having upper and lower ends. The upper ends of the first support rods of the support assemblies are configured to be pivoted to the support surface. The safety ladder is movable between a use position, in which the lower ends of the first and second support rods of the support assemblies are adapted to simultaneously contact the ground surface, and a storage position, in which the first and second support rods stand substantially perpendicular relative to the ground surface.

Hoistway access ladder storage
A storage system (500) for an elevator hoistway access ladder (300) includes a landing doorway (502) comprising a door column (504) and a landing door (506). The door column (504) includes a rotating support (501) for storing the hoistway access ladder (300), and the rotating support is rotatable relative to the door column (504).
LADDER ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING THE SAME
A ladder assembly includes a mounting plate and a ladder rotatably connected to the mounting plate. The mounting plate includes a body that includes a first surface having a first orientation and a second surface having a second, different orientation, and the mounting plate includes spaced apart brackets attached to the first surface. The ladder includes first and second legs, steps, and a handrail. Each leg extends from a first end to a second end, is rotatably connected to one of the brackets at the first end, and has opposing side surfaces and opposing front and back surfaces. The steps are supported transversely between the legs. The handrail is attached to the front surface of the first leg. The ladder is rotatable between a first position and a second position. The back surface of each leg abuts the second surface of the mounting plate body in the first position.

Escape system comprising extendible ladder
An escape system for providing an escape route out of a building is discloses. The system comprises a ladder, and at least one anchor element at a position distant from the proximal end of the ladder. The ladder is extendible between a collapsed storage configuration and an extended use configuration. The ladder comprises a plurality of essentially rigid ladder segments, each ladder segment comprising at least one rung and being displaceable in relation to the remaining plurality of ladder segments. The ladder also comprises at least one fixation element attached to or forming part of at least one of the ladder segments. The fixation element comprises a first spacer element, the first spacer element extending between the anchor element and the ladder in the extended use configuration. The ladder is detached from the anchor element in the collapsed storage configuration, and at least one fixation element of the ladder is configured to attach to the anchor element when the ladder is in the extended use configuration.

WIRELESSLY ELECTRICALLY-COUPLED DEPLOYABLE APPARATUS
A wirelessly electrically-coupled deployable apparatus comprising a deployable structure supported on a supporting structure for motion between a stowed position and a deployed position, an electrically-powered device carried by the deployable structure, a wireless electrical power receiving circuit carried by the deployable structure and connected between the device and a wireless electrical power receiver, and a wireless electrical power transmitting circuit carried by the supporting structure and connected between an electrical power supply and a wireless electrical power transmitter. The wireless electrical power transmitter is carried by the supporting structure, and the wireless electrical power receiver is carried by the deployable structure, in respective positions where wireless electrical power transfer between the wireless electrical power transmitter and receiver powers the device via the receiving circuit when the deployable structure is in its deployed position.
FOLDING STAIRCASE
A folding staircase for use in a door opening having a threshold. The folding staircase has a pair of stringers that have an upper end and a lower end that is adapted for contacting a ground surface. The stringers are spanned by at least one tread. A hinge is connected to a floor near the door opening and a threshold plate pivotally connected thereto is movable between a use position and a stowed position. The staircase may be provided with a lifting mechanism that biases the staircase and threshold plate toward their stowed positions. The lifting device provides a variable force that provides more rotational force when the staircase would require a user to bear more of its weight and less force when less of the weight of the staircase would be borne by a user.
ATTIC ENTRANCE INSULATION COVER
An attic-insulation cover designed to cover access doors leading into attic spaces, such as scuttle holes and vertical attic doors includes an attic insulation flange or border for placement over the attic opening frame, the attic insulation flange having a first top end and a second bottom end, an attic insulation jacket having a top wall, parallel side walls, parallel end walls and a bottom panel; and a closure device at the second bottom end of the attic-insulation flange for connecting the attic insulation flange and the attic insulation jacket.
