Device (30) for making a hole in a golf green (100), comprising a cutting cylinder (4) with an open end being freely movable along the longitudinal direction; guide means (1) defining a weight path having a first endpoint and a second endpoint; a weight (5) guidedly movable along said weight path; a weight propulsion device, arranged to propel the weight reciprocally so that it strikes against the cutting cylinder; and a soil expulsion piston (9), movable inside said cutting cylinder.

The invention is characterised in that the device further comprises a piston driving mechanism, arranged to transfer a force from said weight is propulsion device to the piston to drive it towards said open end; and an expulsion activating mechanism, arranged to engage and disengage the piston driving mechanism in relation to the weight propulsion device.

The invention also relates to a method.

Hand-Actuated Earth Auger
20230053768 · 2023-02-23 ·

A hand-actuated earth auger of the type used to drill water wells, for taking soil samples, or other similar purposes is disclosed. It consists of a spiral or bladed earth drill, extended with one stem rod consisting of one or more stem segments, and one tee handle mounted on a handle collar. The handle collar can be clamped at any height along the stem rod, while the tee handle can be attached to the handle collar in two configurations, resulting in two different heights of the handle. These features allow the operator to lift the auger out of the ground by doing a seated calf raise in two quick increments, corresponding to the two configurations of the tee handle. It also allows the stem rod to be assembled of fewer, but longer stem segments, thus saving on cost.

An electrical handheld shovel system includes a handheld shovel with an auger bit. The shovel includes a motor configured to rotate the auger bit and a portable power source configured to power the motor. The shovel includes an input/output (I/O) device and a controller to control rotation of the auger bit. The shovel has a handle and a shovel portion. In one example, the power source is integrated into the handle, and in another example, the power source is detachably coupled to the handle. The shovel has a gearbox coupled to the motor. The shovel portion includes a blade positioned proximal to the auger bit to retain debris from the auger bit. The auger bit has a flute that is partially covered by the blade, and the blade defines a discharge opening configured to discharge at least some of the debris.

Weep-hole drilling

A method for creating a weep hole is disclosed. The weep hole is drilled in an uncured, concrete, hollow core structural component having one or more external surfaces and one or more internal surfaces. The weep hole is drilled using a drilling apparatus comprising a drill, a rotating drill bit with an internal fluid passageway, a power source, and a pressurized fluid source. Loose, uncured concrete material deposited near the weep hole on the one or more internal surface as a result of drilling the weep hole is removed by releasing pressurized fluid which flows from the pressurized fluid source, through the drill and the rotating drill bit.

ATTACHMENT AND EARTH AUGER

A drilling operation is assisted to form an intended hole in a drill target. An attachment is attachable to an earth auger. The earth auger includes a motor housing accommodating a motor, a handle housing located behind the motor housing and including a grip portion receiving a trigger switch operable to activate the motor, a gear housing located in front of the motor housing and accommodating a gear, and a rotation output unit protruding downward from the gear housing to receive a drill bit. The attachment includes an auxiliary pole to be located adjacent to the drill bit and extendable in a vertical direction.

The present invention provides a drill assembly that includes a drill for drilling rock, a support for supporting the drill, and a valve for releasably securing the support and drill together. The valve is adapted to receive a fluid from a pump means and controllably provide the drill and the support with the fluid for operation of the drill and the support.

Earth auger

The disclosure provides an earth auger comprising a supporting assembly, a drill pipe assembly including a drill pipe, a driving assembly arranged on the supporting assembly to drive the drill pipe assembly to work and a brake assembly including a trigger component that brakes the driving assembly and a brake lever connected through a first pivot and matched with the trigger component. The projection part of the brake lever on the plane perpendicular to the axis of the drill pipe is located outside the projection of the supporting assembly on the plane perpendicular to the axis of the drill pipe. The earth auger provided by the disclosure can effectively prevent accidents and improve the safety performance of the earth auger.

Post hole digger

A post hole digger couples to the power take-off (PTO) shaft of a tractor and uses rotation from the PTO shaft to rotate an auger. A top support arm rotatably coupled to the top pin of the tractor's three point hitch supports the gearbox that translates rotation to the auger. A support frame extends upwardly from the right and left lift arms of the three point hitch and inwardly to support the top support arm from beneath. The support frame is shaped generally as an inverted “U,” with space created between the right and left lift arms to prevent interference with the rotating shaft that translates rotation from the PTO shaft to the gearbox. A shield coupled to the gearbox covers the moving parts of the joint between the rotating shaft and the gearbox and protects users during use of the auger.
