CONTINUOUS CONDUIT OPERATION APPARATUS
Disclosed is a continuous conduit operation apparatus, which comprises a folding frame and a guiding and injecting integrated mechanism configured to pull the conduit to go downwards a well or upwards a lifting direction. The folding frame comprises a base, a mounting frame connected to the base in a movable connection, and a telescopic mechanism configured to rotate the mounting frame in a vertical plane around a position of the movable connection. One end of the telescopic mechanism is movably connected to the base, another end of the telescopic mechanism is movably connected to the mounting frame. The guiding and injecting integrated mechanism is arranged on the mounting frame. The present disclosure integrates the guiding function and the injection function to reduce the height of the apparatus and is suitable for operation environment with limited space and height.
CONTINUOUS CONDUIT OPERATION APPARATUS
Disclosed is a continuous conduit operation apparatus, which comprises a folding frame and a guiding and injecting integrated mechanism configured to pull the conduit to go downwards a well or upwards a lifting direction. The folding frame comprises a base, a mounting frame connected to the base in a movable connection, and a telescopic mechanism configured to rotate the mounting frame in a vertical plane around a position of the movable connection. One end of the telescopic mechanism is movably connected to the base, another end of the telescopic mechanism is movably connected to the mounting frame. The guiding and injecting integrated mechanism is arranged on the mounting frame. The present disclosure integrates the guiding function and the injection function to reduce the height of the apparatus and is suitable for operation environment with limited space and height.
EXPANDABLE REEL ASSEMBLY FOR A WELL SYSTEM
An expandable reel for a well system includes a support frame configured to receive a torque from a motor a plurality of circumferentially spaced spokes each extending radially away from a central axis of the expandable reel, a core assembly configured to couple to the support frame and receive a tubular of the well system about an outer surface of the core assembly, wherein the core assembly includes a plurality of circumferentially spaced panel assemblies each extending longitudinally between opposed ends thereof that are in sliding engagement with the plurality of spokes, and a linear actuator coupled between the support frame and the core assembly and configured to actuate the core assembly, including the plurality of panel assemblies, between a first configuration providing a first outer diameter and a second configuration providing a second outer diameter that is different from the first outer diameter.
EXPANDABLE REEL ASSEMBLY FOR A WELL SYSTEM
An expandable reel for a well system includes a support frame configured to receive a torque from a motor a plurality of circumferentially spaced spokes each extending radially away from a central axis of the expandable reel, a core assembly configured to couple to the support frame and receive a tubular of the well system about an outer surface of the core assembly, wherein the core assembly includes a plurality of circumferentially spaced panel assemblies each extending longitudinally between opposed ends thereof that are in sliding engagement with the plurality of spokes, and a linear actuator coupled between the support frame and the core assembly and configured to actuate the core assembly, including the plurality of panel assemblies, between a first configuration providing a first outer diameter and a second configuration providing a second outer diameter that is different from the first outer diameter.
Gripper control in a coiled tubing system
A system is provided including a coiled tubing injector including at least two gripper chains for gripping a coiled tubing and a gripper system for generating a gripper force applied to the at least two gripper chains by adjusting gripper pressure on at least one gripper cylinder. A gripper controller is configured to determine a minimum gripper pressure and a maximum gripper pressure for the gripper cylinders, based on a current set of parameters related to lowering the coiled tubing into a wellbore or pulling out the coiled tubing from the wellbore. The gripper controller selects a target gripper pressure between the minimum gripper pressure and the maximum gripper pressure based on a historical data model and sets the target gripper pressure for the at least one gripper cylinder.
Gripper control in a coiled tubing system
A system is provided including a coiled tubing injector including at least two gripper chains for gripping a coiled tubing and a gripper system for generating a gripper force applied to the at least two gripper chains by adjusting gripper pressure on at least one gripper cylinder. A gripper controller is configured to determine a minimum gripper pressure and a maximum gripper pressure for the gripper cylinders, based on a current set of parameters related to lowering the coiled tubing into a wellbore or pulling out the coiled tubing from the wellbore. Method for sealing fractures in a subterranean well casing
A method and an apparatus for sealing perforations or cracks found in an oil well casing. The apparatus includes a hydraulic cylinder with an oil supply section at one end and a rod at another end, a cylindrical liner at least a portion of which is a malleable metal and a receiver, the liner with an outer diameter suitable for entry in to the well casing; and a frusto-conical wedge being disposed at a lower end of the liner and fixedly connected to the rod, the frusto-conical wedge having a section with a diameter larger than an inner diameter of the liner. The method includes lowering the apparatus into the well casing and increasing hydraulic pressure to the hydraulic cylinder sufficient to pull the frusto-conical shaped wedge into the liner providing sufficient lateral force to force sufficient liner material into the perforations or cracks of the well casing to seal the well casing wall
HYDRAULIC WINCH CONTROL
A method for controlling a hydraulic winch includes acquiring measurements from sensors coupled to the hydraulic winch. A first control function is computed based on the measurements. The first control function sets pressure across a variable displacement motor that produces motion of the tool string following a desired motion trajectory. A second control function is computed. The second control function sets displacement of a variable displacement pump that causes the pressure across the variable displacement motor to track the first control function. A pump command is selected based on the second control function. The pump command is transmitted to the variable displacement pump. The tool string moves responsive to the pump command.
GUIDING AND INJECTING INTEGRATED MECHANISM FOR CONTINUOUS CONDUIT
Disclosed is a guiding and injecting integrated mechanism for continuous conduit, belonging to underground exploration technical field. The mechanism comprises a pair of chain wheel and chain clamping assemblies used for clamping conduit and pulling conduit to go down or out of well. A conduit guiding channel for conduit to pass through is formed between the pair of chain wheel and chain clamping assemblies, and an inlet and an outlet of the conduit guiding channel are not situated in line. The conduit guiding channel is arc-shaped and each of the two chain wheel and chain clamping assemblies comprises a chain wheel set, chains, clamping blocks mounted on the chain, and a pushing plate for pressing the clamping blocks. Further, clamping surfaces of the clamping blocks have a certain curvature with respect to guiding direction.
