VARIABLE INTENSITY AND SELECTIVE PRESSURE ACTIVATED JAR
A jarring tool used to dislodge a stuck tubular string or bottom hole assembly within an underground wellbore. A funnel element is placed underground either within, or as part of, a tubular string. A deformable ball may be seated within the funnel element to block fluid from passing within the tubular string. Hydraulic pressure may build within the tubular string until it exceeds the pressure the ball can withstand. This will cause the ball to deform and be expelled through the funnel element. With no ball to block its flow, fluid will be rapidly released through the funnel element. The rapid release of fluid will cause a powerful jarring or jolting to the tubular string or bottom hole assembly. Deformed balls may be captured in a cartridge chamber installed within the drill string and sized to create turbulent fluid flow within the drill string.

Method and device for obtaining measurements of downhole properties in a subterranean well
An untethered apparatus for measuring properties along a subterranean well includes a housing, and one or more sensors configured to measure data along the subterranean well. The data includes one or more physical, chemical, geological or structural properties in the subterranean well. The untethered apparatus further includes a processor configured to control the one or more sensors measuring the data and to store the measured data, and a transmitter configured to transmit the measured data to a receiver arranged external to the subterranean well. Further, the untethered apparatus includes a controller configured to control the buoyancy or the drag of the untethered apparatus to control a position of the untethered apparatus in the subterranean well. The processor includes instructions defining measurement parameters for the one or more sensors of the untethered apparatus within the subterranean well.

Reverse-circulation drilling assemblies and methods of using same
A reverse-circulation drilling assembly having an overshot subassembly and a head subassembly. In the event retrieval of the drilling assembly by reverse-circulation fails, the drilling assembly can be retrieved using a secondary overshot.
Hydraulically set liner top packer
A liner and a method of setting the liner. The liner includes an outer tubular member, a hydraulic actuator on an outer surface of the outer tubular member for hydraulically setting a packer of the liner, and a hydraulic channel for directing fluid through the outer tubular member and into the hydraulic actuator to set the packer. The hydraulic channel has a first port at an inner surface of the outer tubular member and a second port at the outer surface of the outer tubular member at an axial location of the hydraulic actuator. The first port is at a different axial location of the outer tubular member than the second port. A fluid is pumped through the hydraulic channel into the hydraulic actuator to set the packer.

Expandable meshed component for guiding an untethered device in a subterranean well
Embodiments provide an expandable meshed component for guiding an untethered measurement device used in a subterranean well. The expandable meshed component includes an uphole radial portion, an intermediate radial portion, a downhole radial portion, an outer meshed wall, and an inner meshed wall. The expandable meshed component has a density less than a fluidic component occupying the space. A method for guiding an untethered measurement device used in a subterranean well includes deploying a compressed expandable meshed component tethered to the untethered measurement device, disconnecting the compressed expandable meshed component and the untethered measurement device, and releasing a sleeve surrounding the compressed expandable meshed component such that the expandable meshed component expands, ascends, and fits into an annulus.

MULTILATERAL JUNCTION WITH TWISTED MAINBORE AND LATERAL BORE LEGS
Provided is a multilateral junction (MLT), a well system, and a method for forming a well system. The MLT, in one aspect, includes a y-block having a housing with a single first bore and second and third bores extending therein, the second and third bores defining second and third centerlines. The MLT, in this aspect, further includes a mainbore leg having a first mainbore leg end coupled to the second bore and a second opposing mainbore leg end, and a lateral bore leg having a first lateral bore leg end coupled to the third bore and a second opposing lateral bore leg end. In this aspect, the mainbore leg and the lateral bore leg are twisted with respect to the second and third bore such that a first plane taken through centerlines of the second opposing mainbore leg end and the second opposing lateral bore leg end is angled.
