Using acidic balls for acid stimulation in carbonate reservoirs
A method for acid treatment of a wellbore in a carbonate formation is provided. The method includes dropping spacer solids into the well to fill the wellbore to perforations in a casing, dropping acidic solids into the wellbore on the top of the spacer solids, allowing the acidic solids to dissolve on top of the spacer solids forming an acidic solution, and injecting water into the wellbore to force the acidic solution into the carbonate formation.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PREDICTING AND CONTROLLING THE PROPERTIES OF A CHEMICAL SPECIES DURING A TIME-DEPENDENT PROCESS
Devices and methods for controlling the properties of chemical species during time-dependent processes. A device includes a reactor for containing one or more chemical species of a time-dependent process, an extraction pump for automatically and continuously extracting an amount of the one or more chemical species from the reactor, one or more detectors for measuring property changes of the one or more extracted chemical species and generating a continuous stream of data related to the one or more property changes to the one or more chemical species during a time interval, and a process controller configured to fit the continuous stream of data to a mathematical function to predict one or more properties of the one or more chemical species at a future time point and make one or more process decisions based on the prediction of one or more properties at the future time point.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR INJECTING A FLUID INTO THE WELL DURING DRILLING
An apparatus for injecting an accelerating fluid into an oil well includes casing open at the ends into which a cement flows and positioned inside the well forming an annular zone with its walls. The casing includes a hollow cylindrical body with lateral surfaces integral with the casing internal surfaces and a central hole through which a cement flows, with a lower horizontal section than the casing section. The apparatus includes hollow internal chamber with an accelerating fluid; one or more body inlet devices, which put the body and chamber in fluid communication. The inlet devices are positioned on one of the hollow cylindrical body base surfaces. The apparatus includes at least one body outlet devices, which puts the chamber in fluid communication with the conduit through the central hole, positioned radially with respect to the cylindrical body axis and along the central hole internal surface.

Method to manipulate a well using an overbalanced pressure container
A method to manipulate a well, comprising running an apparatus (60a) having a container (68a) with a volume of gas at a higher pressure than a surrounding portion of the well. The well is isolated, and a wireless control signal, such as an electromagnetic or acoustic signal, is sent to operate a valve assembly (62a) to selectively allow or resist fluid exit from a portion of the container (68a), via a port (61a). Some of the pressurised gas may itself be expelled in to the surrounding portion of the well, or it may be used to drive a fluid out of the container, such as an acid.

DOWNHOLE RECEPTACLE FOR TRACER INSTALLATION
A downhole receptacle for tracer installation, comprises a housing and a tracer material arranged within the housing. The tracer material is water soluble. And the housing has an outer shape that corresponds to an outer shape of a standard gas lift valve. Further a method for the installation of a downhole receptacle for a tracer includes the steps of (a) running completion with at least one side pocket mandrel with or without a pre-installed dummy gas lift valve; and (b) replacing the dummy gas lift valve with a downhole receptacle for a tracer or installing a downhole receptacle into the side pocket mandrel.
Dump bailers
A dump bailer includes a bailer body defining an interior space for conveying cement slurry downhole.
