THERMITE METHOD OF ABANDONING A WELL
A well cutting tool, comprising a housing including a chamber, the housing having at least one nozzle, the chamber being loaded with thermite, and a gas-generating additive an ignitor such that when the ignitor is actuated to ignite the thermite, the gas-generating additive is caused to create an increase in pressure which discharges energised molten thermite from the chamber and out of the housing through the at least one nozzle.

Method for preventing influx of fluid during fracturing of an offset well
Method is provided for preventing fluid from entering a well, such as a producing well, during a hydraulic fracturing treatment in another well completed in the same reservoir. Degradable ball sealers or degradable particulate material is injected into the well and pressure is maintained in the well during the fracturing treatment to prevent influx of fluid.

Time-Controlled-PRV Cable-Head Cutter For Line Conveyed Tools
A cable head line cutter tool comprising an internal mandrel anchored to a line and releasably held in an initial position by a pressure relief valve which may act in coordination with a locking mechanism disposed within an outer housing of the cable head cutter tool. When a tensile load is applied to the line sufficient to overcome an opening pressure of the pressure relief valve and a mechanical resistance acting upon the locking mechanism, and maintained for a duration sufficient to overcome a hydraulic resistance acting upon the locking mechanism, the internal mandrel may become released to travel within the outer housing. If the tensile load applied to the line is sufficient to open the pressure relief valve, release the mandrel from the locking mechanism, and maintained for sufficient duration, the mandrel may cause a line cutter device of the cable head line cutter tool to cut the line.

Systems for surface decommissioning of wells
There are provided high power laser systems for performing decommissioning of structures in land based boreholes, and wells, offshore, and other remote and hazardous locations, and using those system to perform decommissioning operations. In particular embodiments the laser system is a Class I system and reduces emission of materials created during laser cutting operations. The laser systems can include lifting and removal equipment for removing laser sectioned material.

WELL TOOL DEVICE FOR FORMING A PERMANENT BARRIER IN A WELL
A well tool device for forming a permanent barrier in a well includes a housing and an ignition device. A compartment is provided in the housing. A pyrotechnic mixture or heat generating mixture is provided within the compartment. The ignition device is adapted to heating at least a part of the pyrotechnic mixture or the heat generating mixture to its ignition temperature. If the pyrotechnic mixture is provided, the pyrotechnic mixture includes a first metal and at least a section of the housing is made of the first metal. If the heat generating mixture is provided, at least a section of the housing is made from a material being a constituent of the heat generating mixture.
