A convertible fishing tool is provided for removing an object (fish) from a wellbore. The fishing tool includes an elongated hollow main housing and a plurality of slip blades that are disposed distal to the main housing and move radially between fully retracted positions and fully extended positions. In the fully retracted positions, the fishing tool is in spear configuration and in the fully extended positions, the fishing tool is in an overshot configuration. The fishing tool also includes an actuation system configured to move the plurality of slip blades in a radial direction between the fully retracted positions and the fully extended positions.

ROBOTIC FISHING TOOL

A downhole robotic fishing tool includes a main body configured to be positioned in a wellbore and an intermediate body connected to a downhole end of the main body by an upper articulating joint. A robotic hand is connected to a downhole end of the intermediate body by a lower articulating joint. The robotic hand is configurable between an open configuration and a closed configuration and includes a palm, a robotic thumb and a robotic finger attached at their respective proximal ends to the palm in opposition. When in the closed configuration, the distal ends of the thumb and finger are within a grasp center area centered on a center point defined by an intersection of a grasping axis and an opposition axis of the robotic hand. A camera is positioned on the palm that has an optical axis that intersects the grasp center area proximate the center point.

A system may include a control system disposed on a well surface, a casing disposed in a wellbore, a first electrical wiring coupled to the control system and the casing within a first section of the wellbore, and a second electrical wiring coupled to various flow control devices in a second section of the wellbore. The first section of the wellbore may be disposed at a first predetermined direction that is different than a second predetermined direction of the second section of the wellbore. The system may further include an electrical connector coupled to the first electrical wiring and the second electrical wiring. The electrical connector may include a mechanical receiver that couples with the first electrical wiring, and a stinger assembly coupled with the second electrical wiring and that connects to the mechanical receiver.

PUMPING STINGER OVERSHOT

An overshot apparatus includes a tubular housing and a grapple disposed within a bore of the tubular housing. The grapple has a central opening to receive a fish and is operable to grip an outer diameter of the fish. A stinger is supported in the bore by an adapter attached to an upper end of the tubular housing. The stinger is positioned to be inserted into the fish received in the central opening of the grapple. A packing element is positioned on an external surface of the stinger to engage an inner diameter of the fish when the stinger is inserted into the fish and the fish is received within the central opening of the grapple. The adapter and stinger have conduits for passage of fluid into the fish.

UNIVERSAL GRAPPLE OVERSHOT FOR FISHING IRREGULAR SHAPED OBJECTS

Systems and methods for retrieving equipment from a wellbore of a subterranean well include an overshot housing having a central axis. The overshot housing is a tubular shaped member with a housing bore. An internal sleeve is located within the overshot housing. The internal sleeve is a tubular shaped member with a sleeve bore. The internal sleeve is axially moveable within the overshot housing. A catching net is located radially outward of the internal sleeve, within the overshot housing. The catching net moveable between a contracted position and an extended position. The catching net has a shorter axial length and a wider radial width in the contracted position than in the extended position. An anchoring assembly is located at a downhole end of the catching net. The anchoring assembly is actuable to releasably secure the downhole end of the catching net to the equipment.

Compact over pull-push stroking tool

An extendable wellbore tool may include a housing, a telescopic cylinder, and one or more hydraulic actuators. The telescopic cylinder may be disposed within the housing and may include two or more cylinders configured to extend and retract relative to each other. The one or more hydraulic actuators may be connected to the telescopic cylinder via a link arm, and may be configured to extend and retract the telescopic cylinder relative to the housing.

Advanced pulling prong

Provided, in one embodiment, is a pulling prong. The pulling prong, in one example, includes an outer housing, and a nose assembly slidably located within the outer housing. In this example, the nose assembly and outer housing form an activation chamber. The pulling prong, in this example, may further include activation means located within the activation chamber, the activation means configured to move the nose assembly from a first running configuration to a second retrieving configuration.
