A method includes wrapping a packer bag around a deployment tool, providing at least one canister in fluid communication with the packer bag, sending the packer bag around the downhole tool to a downhole location in a well, and injecting a polymer filler material from the at least one canister into the packer bag until the packer bag expands to seal the downhole location.
ANNULAR BARRIER WITH SHUNT TUBE
The present invention relates to an annular barrier for isolating a production zone, the annular barrier having a first end and a second end, comprising: a tubular metal part for mounting as part of a well tubular metal structure, the tubular metal part having an outer face, an expandable metal sleeve surrounding the tubular metal part and having an outer face facing a wall of a borehole, each end of the expandable metal sleeve being connected with the tubular metal part, an annular space arranged between the expandable metal sleeve and the tubular metal part, the expandable metal sleeve being configured to expand by pressurised fluid entering the annular space, a first tubular metal connection assembly surrounding the tubular metal part connecting one end of the expandable metal sleeve with the tubular metal part and a second tubular metal connection assembly surrounding the tubular metal part connecting the other end of the expandable metal sleeve with the tubular metal part, each tubular metal connection assembly having a wall, and a shunt tube, wherein the tubular metal connection assemblies have at least one opening in the wall through which the shunt tube extends, the shunt tube extending along and outside the tubular metal part from the first end via the annular space to the second end. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a downhole completion system for completing a well and to an expansion method for expanding an annular barrier.
ANNULAR BARRIER
The present invention relates to an annular barrier for providing zonal isolation in an annulus downhole between a well tubular metal structure and another well tubular metal structure or a wall of a borehole, comprising a tubular metal part configured to be mounted as part of the well tubular metal structure, the tubular metal part having an outer face, an opening and an axial extension along the well tubular metal structure, an expandable metal sleeve surrounding the tubular metal part, the expandable metal sleeve having a circumferential groove, a first end and a second end, each end of the expandable metal sleeve being connected with the outer face of the tubular metal part, and a sealing unit arranged in the circumferential groove, the annular sealing unit comprising an annular sealing element and a back-up sealing element abutting and supporting the annular sealing element, wherein the annular sealing element in a cross-section along the axial extension has a first width, a second width and a third width; the second width is larger than the first width and the third width and is arranged between the first width and the third width; the back-up sealing element has a first contact area, and the annular sealing element has a second contact area, where the first contact area has a shape that mates with the second contact area. The invention also relates to a downhole completion system comprising an annular barrier and a well tubular metal structure.
DOWNHOLE EXPANDABLE METAL TUBULAR
The present invention relates to a downhole expandable metal tubular to be expanded in a well from a first outer diameter to a second outer diameter to abut against an inner face of a casing or borehole, the downhole expandable metal tubular having an axial extension, a circumference and an outer face, wherein the downhole expandable metal tubular is of metal with at least one first integral circumferential sealing element of metal as part of the outer face, providing the downhole expandable metal tubular with a first circumferential projection having a fourth height, and the at least one first integral circumferential sealing element at least partly defines a cavity having an opening. Moreover, the present invention also relates to a downhole expandable metal tubular assembly further comprising at least one end tubular, a patch for being expanded within a well tubular metal structure for sealing off leaks, perforations or apertures in the well tubular metal structure, and an annular barrier to be expanded in an annulus between a well tubular structure and an inner face of a borehole or a casing downhole for providing zone isolation between a first zone and a second zone of the borehole.
Annular barrier and downhole system
The present invention relates to an annular barrier for providing isolation of a zone in a well having an isolation layer of less than 5 metres, comprising a tubular metal part configured to be mounted as part of a well tubular metal structure, the tubular metal part having an outer face, an opening and an axial extension along the well tubular metal structure, a first expandable metal sleeve surrounding the tubular metal part, the first expandable metal sleeve having a first thickness, a first end and a second end, the first end of the expandable metal sleeve being connected with the outer face of the tubular metal part, a second expandable metal sleeve surrounding the tubular metal part, the second expandable metal sleeve having substantially the same thickness as the first expandable metal sleeve, and the second expandable metal sleeve having a first end connected with the outer face of the tubular metal part and a second end, wherein the annular barrier further comprises a first connecting sleeve having a second thickness being greater than the first thickness, the first connecting sleeve comprises a first sleeve end connected to the second end of the first expandable metal sleeve and a second sleeve end connected with the second end of the second expandable metal sleeve, and the annular barrier comprises an annular space defined between the tubular metal part, the first connecting sleeve and the expandable metal sleeves. The invention also relates to a downhole system comprising a plurality of the annular barriers and the well tubular metal structure.

The present invention relates to an annular barrier for providing zonal isolation in an annulus downhole between a well tubular metal structure and another well tubular metal structure or a wall of a borehole, comprising a tubular metal part configured to be mounted as part of the well tubular metal structure, the tubular metal part having an outer face, an opening and an axial extension along the well tubular metal structure, and an expandable metal sleeve surrounding the tubular metal part, the first expandable metal sleeve having a circumferential groove, a first end and a second end, each end of the expandable metal sleeve being connected with the outer face of the tubular metal part, wherein the annular barrier further comprises an anchoring element arranged in the circumferential groove, the anchoring element comprising a first anchoring part at least partly overlapping a second anchoring part in a radial direction perpendicular to the axial extension so that an inner face of the first anchoring part at least partly abuts an outer face of the second anchoring part. Moreover, the present invention relates to a downhole completion system.
SYSTEM AND METHODOLOGY TO COMBINE SAND CONTROL AND ZONAL ISOLATION FOR ARTIFICIAL LIFT SYSTEMS
A tubular joint installable on a tubular string disposable within a wellbore. The tubular joint may include includes a perforated section, a filter section, and a packer. The perforated section may be proximate a first end and may include a first plurality of orifices to allow fluid communication between a bore of the tubular joint and a first area surrounding the tubular joint proximate the perforated section. The filter section may be proximate a second end and may include a filter assembly sized to filter fluid flowing into the bore via a second plurality of orifices from a second area proximate the filter section. The packer may be disposed between the perforated section and the filter section and may be operable to isolate the first area from the second area when the tubular string is disposed within the well.
REACTIVE METAL FOR CEMENT ASSURANCE
Methods and systems for cementing in a wellbore. An example method includes introducing a conduit into a wellbore. The conduit comprises a reactive metal element disposed on an exterior of the conduit. The reactive metal element comprises a reactive metal having a first volume. The method further includes circulating a cement over the exterior of the conduit and the reactive metal element, contacting the reactive metal element with a fluid that reacts with the reactive metal to produce a reaction product having a second volume greater than the first volume, and contacting a surface of the cement adjacent to the reactive metal element with the reaction product.
INFLATABLE ELEMENT SYSTEM FOR DOWNHOLE TOOLS
A straddle packer assembly for deployment in a wellbore in which the straddle packer assembly includes a mandrel on which is mounted a first inflatable element and a second inflatable element. A first end of the first inflatable element is fixed, while a second end slides on the mandrel. Both the first and second ends of the second inflatable element are slidable on the mandrel, and the first end of the second inflatable element is coupled to the second end of the first inflatable element. The inflatable elements are inflated separately, with the first inflatable element inflated first until it seats against the wellbore wall. As the first inflatable element expands radially and contracts axially, the second inflatable element moves in axial concert with the first inflatable element so as to maintain a fixed distance between the two inflatable elements.
PROCEDURES FOR SELECTIVE WATER SHUT OFF OF PASSIVE ICD COMPARTMENTS
A method for shutting off a wet interval of a wellbore includes producing hydrocarbons from a hydrocarbon bearing subterranean formation through a production string installed in the wellbore, identifying the wet interval of the wellbore, perforating the production string in the wet interval using an explosive-free punch tool to produce a plurality of openings in the production string, isolating the production string in the wet interval, treating the wet interval with a sealing composition injected through the plurality of openings into an annulus of the wellbore in the wet interval, and restoring a fluid flow path through the production string in the wet interval. The restored fluid flow path through the wet interval enables continued production of hydrocarbons from downhole intervals, while the sealing composition cured in the annulus provides a barrier to prevent fluid flow from the wet interval into the production string.
