EMERGENCY DISCONNECT ISOLATION VALVE
An isolation valve system, method, and apparatus are provided that can isolate a wellbore and prevent fluids from exiting the well and prevent seawater from entering the well. The system can be a two-part design in some embodiments where a shear sub is selectively interconnected to a body via shearing screws. A sufficient force on the shear sub destroys the shearing screws and the shear sub is removed from the body. This movement rotates an actuator on the body, which in turn rotates a valve in the body to provide the isolating function during routine operation of a wellbore or during an emergency.
Wellbore isolation devices with degradable non-metallic components
Wellbore isolation devices, methods of use, and downhole tools and systems comprising the wellbore isolation devices. A wellbore isolation device comprises a component selected from the group consisting of a mandrel, a packer element, a sealing ball, a wedge, a slip, a mule shoe, a wiper element, a wiper body, and any combination thereof; wherein the component comprises a degradable non-metallic material that degrades upon exposure to a wellbore environment; and wherein the degradable non-metallic material is a composite material comprising a non-epoxy matrix material and a reinforcing material.
PERMANENT PACKER AND EXTENDED GAS LIFT METHOD USING PERMANENT PACKER
The present invention discloses a permanent packer and an extended gas lift method using the permanent packer, the method comprising: S1. imbedding the extended gas lift embedded pipe when setting the permanent packer, wherein the extended gas lift embedded pipe has an upper end being closed and a lower end being open, is provided therein with a one-way valve through which the fluid can pass from top to bottom; S2. lowering a breaking device from the production casing when in the extended gas lift, to break the upper end of the extended gas lift embedded pipe such that the upper and lower ends of the extended gas lift embedded pipe are communicated; and S3. injecting gas into the production casing, lifting the accumulated liquid in the bottom hole to the ground surface, to complete the extended gas lift. The method does not affect the sealing property of the permanent packer, can fully adapt to the demand in the early and middle stages of gas well development, and meanwhile can realize extended gas lift without workover in the middle and later stages of gas well development, and has low implementation cost and good safety.
Switch sliding sleeve device for oil-gas exploitation and switching method thereof, oil-gas exploitation tool and switching method of wall through hole thereof
A switch sliding sleeve device for oil-gas exploitation and switching method thereof, an oil-gas exploitation tool and a switching method of a wall through hole thereof are disclosed. The disclosure relates to the technical field of oil-gas exploitation, and solves the technical problems in the prior art that the switching operation steps of a wall through hole of an outer cylinder are tedious and complex, and a large amount of manpower and material resources are consumed. The switch sliding sleeve device for oil-gas exploitation and the oil-gas exploitation tool include an outer cylinder, a switch sliding sleeve mechanism and a trigger. When the trigger is put into the outer cylinder and punching triggers the switch sliding sleeve mechanism, the switch sliding sleeve mechanism is capable of being switched from a state of opening the wall through hole to a state of closing the wall through hole until is triggered by the trigger or another trigger again. The switching method of the wall through hole of the oil-gas exploitation tool includes the following steps: putting a trigger into the outer cylinder to open the wall through hole, and putting the trigger into the outer cylinder again to close the wall through hole. Thus, the switching operation of the wall through hole is facilitated, and the operation cost is reduced.
