Gravel pack service tool used to set a packer
Disclosed is a gravel pack service tool that utilizes an internal closure device to set a packer. One disclosed system includes a completion string including at least one packer, a service tool configured to be arranged within the completion string and having an interior that provides a flow path for fluids and a crossover tool, and a closure device arranged within the flow path and being actuatable between an open position and a closed position in response to a signature pressure pulse detected by the closure device, wherein, when the closure device is in the open position, the fluids are able to bypass the closure device and flow to lower portions of the service tool, and wherein, when the closure device is in the closed position, the fluids are prevented from bypassing the closure device and a pressure within the service tool is increased to set the at least one packer.
Gravel pack filtration system for dehydration of gravel slurries
A gravel packing apparatus includes a base pipe defining an interior fluid conduit, the base pipe having a production section configured to provide fluid communication between an exterior of the base pipe and an interior of the base pipe, the base pipe having a blank section. The apparatus also includes a screen surrounding the production section, the screen in fluid communication with an annular region of a borehole and configured to prevent particulate matter from passing therethrough, and a filtration assembly disposed proximate to the blank section, the filtration assembly including a fluid passage extending between an exterior of the blank section and an interior of the blank section.
LINER DEPLOYMENT TOOL
A gravel pack system includes a liner assembly and a deployment assembly. The liner assembly includes a sand control screen. The deployment assembly facilitates rotation of the liner assembly and circulation through the liner assembly while running the liner assembly into a wellbore using a work string. The deployment assembly includes a crossover tool that is operated to facilitate gravel packing without manipulation of the work string. The deployment assembly also includes a setting tool for setting a packer and/or a sand barrier at the top of the liner assembly.
Outflow control device, systems and methods
A well tool assembly can include a well screen configured to filter fluid flow between an interior and an exterior of a tubular string, and an outflow control section that permits the fluid flow in an outward direction and prevents the fluid flow in an inward direction, the outflow control section including at least two outflow control valves arranged in series. A method can include installing a well tool assembly including a well screen, flowing a fluid from an exterior to an interior of a tubular string through the well screen and an inflow control valve of the well tool assembly, and flowing another fluid from the interior to the exterior of the tubular string through the well screen and at least one outflow control valve of the well tool assembly.
Multi-zone single trip completion system
A multi-zone, one trip completion system for a wellbore is described. A plurality of isolation packers is installed in borehole to isolate a plurality of zones of the annulus between a tubing string and a wellbore. Each tubing string section is positioned in a zone and comprises a selectively openable stimulation port to provide stimulation fluid to its zone and a selectively openable production port to receive fluid from its zone. The system also comprises a circulation system with a plurality of circulation tubes and circulation tube valves, being configurable in a plurality of configurations to selectively connect, via a circulation flow path, the central bore or the borehole annulus of a wellbore at each of the plurality of sections, to an upper circulation flow path open to an annulus above an uppermost of the plurality of isolation packers.
MECHANICALLY OPERATED REVERSE CEMENTING CROSSOVER TOOL
A crossover tool for use in a wellbore includes: a tubular housing having a bypass port; a mandrel having a bore therethrough and a mandrel port in fluid communication with the mandrel bore, the mandrel movable relative to the tubular housing between a first position where the mandrel port is isolated from the bypass port and a second position where the mandrel port is aligned with the bypass port; and an actuator operable to move the mandrel between the first position and the second position. The actuator includes a first piston connected to the mandrel and a second piston operable in response to the first piston.
GRAVEL PACK SYSTEM WITH SLURRY EXIT PORT IN COUPLING AND METHOD OF GRAVEL PACKING
A gravel pack system includes slurry transport hardware including a first slurry transport pathway, a coupling configured to couple the first slurry transport pathway to a radially interiorly arranged screen assembly, and a first exit port in the coupler. The first exit port is fluidically connected to the first slurry transport pathway, and the first exit port is arranged to re-direct at least a portion of slurry passing longitudinally through the first slurry transport pathway in a radially outward direction.
GRAVEL PACK SERVICE TOOL WITH ENHANCED PRESSURE MAINTENANCE
In accordance with embodiments of the present disclosure, a gravel pack system includes a service tool used to maintain a pressure of the wellbore below a hydraulic packer at the same pressure of workstring tubing above the hydraulic packer, prior to and during setting the hydraulic packer. The service tool includes a washpipe disposed at a lower portion of the service tool, a crossover port in a wall of the service tool that enables fluid to flow between workstring tubing and a space between the service tool and a completion string. The service tool also includes a valve disposed in the wall of the service tool that directs fluid from the space between the service tool and the completion string into the service tool and toward the washpipe when the valve is open, the valve being closeable in response to compression of the service tool.
