Unibody bypass plunger and valve cage with sealable ports
A bypass plunger includes a unibody, or one-piece hollow body and valve cage, retains a dart valve within the valve cage portion using a threaded retaining nut secured by crimple detents, and includes sealable flow parts. A series of helical grooves surround the central portion of the outer surface of the hollow body of the plunger to control spin during descent. A canted-coil-spring disposed within the retaining nut functions as a clutch. The valve cage includes ports that may be configured to control flow through the plunger during descent. Other embodiments include clutch assemblies using canted-coil springs with split bobbins, and surfaced valve stems surfaced.
Systems and Methods for Producing Gas Wells with Multiple Production Tubing Strings
A system for producing hydrocarbons from a subterranean well including a wellbore extending from a surface into a subterranean formation includes a wellhead disposed at the surface. In addition, the system includes a production tree coupled to the wellhead and a casing coupled to the wellhead and extending into the wellbore. Still further, the system includes a first production tubing string extending into the casing from the wellhead to a first production zone and a second production tubing string extending into the casing from the wellhead to the first production zone. The first production tubing string and the second production tubing string are each configured to provide a fluid flow path for gases from the first production zone. The second production tubing string is radially spaced from the first production tubing string. The first production tubing string has an inner diameter D1 that is larger than an inner diameter D2 of the second production tubing string.
DEVICE FOR DISCHARGING LIQUIDS ACCUMULATED IN A WELL
The present invention relates to a liquid evacuation device for an extraction well. The device comprises a tank presenting a liquid accumulation area. The tank is connected to a gas evacuation tubing. An insulant limits a flow of fluid between a wall of the tank and a wall of the well, from a first space formed between the insulant and the well bottom to a second space formed between the insulant and the well head. A first opening on the tank enables circulation of a gas-liquid mixture from said first space to a third space formed in the gas evacuation tubing. A second opening on the tank enables circulation of fluid from said second space to the liquid accumulation area. The first opening is made between the liquid accumulation area and the connection to the evacuation tubing.
Electrically operated chemical stick launcher
A chemical stick launcher includes a stack of vertically mounted low voltage electrically operated valves providing spaces between the valves for chemical sticks. The valves are manipulated by a controller to drop sticks from the compartments between the valves after suitable time delays so the launcher can supply chemicals to a hydrocarbon well over a period of time. The stack is insulated to reduce the operating temperature of the launcher and thereby allow a wider variety of chemical compositions to be used. The low voltage electrically operated valves include a front panel providing a visual indicator of whether the valves are open or closed. The valves are mounted on the stack so the front panels face in the same direction so a standing person can see all the indicators from a single position.
Magnetic catch for plunger lift
Provided herein, is magnetic catch assembly that may be utilized with and/or incorporated into lubricator of a wellhead. The magnetic catch assembly permits maintaining a plunger within the lubricator without requiring any moving mechanical components.
INTEGRATED WELLHEAD DEVICE FOR FILTERING INJECTED AND PRODUCED GASES
An integrated wellhead device for filtering injected and produced gases is provided by the present disclosure, comprising a horizontal tank body that is internally provided with an injected gas filtering system and a produced gas filtering system, wherein the injected gas filtering system is internally provided with an oxygen removal chamber, the gas inlet of the injected gas filtering system is connected with an injected high-pressure gas source, and the gas outlet of the injected gas filtering system is connected with a gas injection well casing of Christmas tree, the produced gas filtering system is internally equipped with an oxygen removal chamber, a sulfur removal chamber and a carbon dioxide removal chamber, the gas inlet of the produced gas filtering system is connected with a gas production tubing of the Christmas tree, and the gas outlet of the produced gas filtering system is connected with a produced gas transmission pipe.
System and method for low pressure gas lift artificial lift
A system for applying low pressure gas lift artificial lift enables improved efficiency in gas and oil well production. The system comprises: a central tubing in a well hole of the well, the tubing having a well head end and a well sump end; an annulus that extends around the central tubing between from the well head end to the sump end; a compressed gas source; a gas lift gas line connecting the compressed gas source to the well hole; a gas compressor having an input and an output, wherein the output is connected to the annulus; a flowline connected to the well head end of the central tubing; and an automatically controlled flowline choke in the flowline.
FLUID STORAGE AND PRODUCTION
A flow control assembly including a subassembly including an annular safety valve, a shroud, a bushing connecting the shroud to the subassembly at one of two opposing ends of the shroud, and another bushing connecting the shroud to the subassembly at the other of the two opposing ends of the shroud. The method for operating a hydrogen storage and production system including pumping hydrogen into the salt cavern for storage through a borehole and producing hydrogen from the salt cavern through the same borehole.
Sectional pumping apparatus for well case
A sectional pumping apparatus for well casing includes a discharge pipe, a submersible pump, a pump housing, a swab tool, and a central axis. The discharge pipe, the submersible pump, the pump housing, and the swab tool are concentrically positioned along the central axis. The discharge pipe includes a first tubular body and a flange connector. The flange connector is radially connected around the first tubular body. The submersible pump is hermetically attached to a pump end of the first tubular body. The submersible pump and the pump end are positioned within the pump housing as the first tubular body is hermetically attached to a top end of the pump housing through the flange connector. The swab tool is hermetically attached to a bottom end of the pump housing and is in fluid communication with the discharge pipe through the submersible pump.
