Apparatus for feeding tube elements, rock drilling rig and method of supporting drill hole openings
An apparatus for feeding a tubular object inside a drill hole, a rock drilling rig and a method of supporting mouth openings of drill holes is provided. The apparatus includes a support device for supporting an elongated tube element blank having the potential for several successive tube inserts. A front end of the tube element blank is moved longitudinally inside a drill hole by means of a feeding device. Thereby, the drill hole is provided with a protective section extending a limited longitudinal dimension towards a bottom of the drill hole. The apparatus further includes a separation device for detaching the mentioned tube inserts one by one from the tube element blank.
Blasting technique
A method of mining in a rock formation, includes drilling blastholes extending into the rock formation. Each of the blastholes has a depth between a first end and a second end. For each blasthole the second end thereof is deeper into the rock formation than the first end thereof. The method further includes loading the blastholes with alternating layers of explosives charges and stemming material to establish a succession of blasting decks or sections extending across and within the rock formation. The rock formation includes at least a first blasting deck or section and a second blasting deck or section.
ROCK DRILLING UNIT AND METHOD FOR CHARGING DRILLED HOLES
A rock drilling unit and method for charging drilled holes. The rock drilling unit includes a feed system for feeding initiators and rock breaking material into the drilled holes. The rock drilling unit is also provided with one or more communicating devices for communicating with the wireless initiators.
Apparatus and method for positioning rock drilling rig
An apparatus, a method for positioning a rock drilling, and a rock drilling rig is provided. The rock drilling rig includes a mobile drilling platform and a drilling mast connected to the drilling platform. The drilling platform is levelled vertically before initiating drilling. The apparatus determines the needed vertical levelling requirement. The levelling causes displacement of a drilling tool line passing through a drilling tool. The apparatus estimates the displacement and provides aid for the operator to position the drilling platform in order to compensate for the estimated displacement distance.
System, apparatus, and method to perform leveling for borehole drills
A system, apparatus, and method for leveling a borehole or blasthole drilling machine, or portion thereof, provided over a drilling site can implement a ground contact detect phase or operation, a first coarse leveling phase or operation, a lowering phase or operation, and a fine leveling phase or operation. The phases or operations can be based on or responsive to signals from sensors of the drilling machine. The phases or operations can involve changing length of one or more of the jacks of the drilling machine when the drilling machine is positioned over the drilling site.
Safety system and method for protecting against a hazard of drill rod failure in a drilled rock bore
The present invention provides a safety system (1) for protecting against a hazard of a drill rod failure in a drilled rock bore (B) above horizontal, and especially a hazard posed by a broken drill rod section (S) lodged within the bore (B). The safety system (1) comprises: a plug member (2) for insertion into a proximal end region (E) of the bore (B) adjacent a rock-face (F), the plug member (2) being configured to be fixed within the proximal end region (E) of the bore (B); and an impact reduction member (5) for reducing an impact of the broken drill rod section (S) striking the plug member (2) within the proximal end region (E) of the bore (B). The impact reduction member (5) is configured to be located within the proximal end region (E) of the bore (B) and to extend within the bore (B) above the plug member (2).
Apparatus, method and software product for drilling sequence planning
An apparatus and method for planning a drilling sequence. The solution relates also to a rock drilling rig and to a computer program product. The apparatus searches several possible drilling scenarios for drilling a given drilling pattern. Different actions required by the scenarios have given costs and the executed algorithm calculates total costs of found scenarios. Scenarios with the lowest costs are selected.
UNDERGROUND DEVELOPMENT DRILL RETURN SYSTEM
Provided is an underground development drill return system comprising a front limit sensor and front sensor actuator, each configured for operative mounting at opposite ends of a forward drill feeder length of a drilling arm of the drill. System also includes a rear limit sensor and rear sensor actuator, each configured for operative mounting at opposite ends of a return drill feeder length of the drilling arm. Each limit sensor comprises a proximity sensor with a wireless transmitter for transmitting a limit signal upon activation of the sensor, and each sensor actuator comprises an actuator for actuating the respective sensor when brought into proximity thereof.
Method and system of constructing an underground tunnel
Long tunnels of many kilometres are likely to pass through a range of geologies which may cause problems. The present invention seeks to overcome the disadvantages of the prior art by: drilling a first bore 10 along a first predetermined path, the first bore having a length of at least 25 m; drilling a plurality of second bores 20 along respective second predetermined paths, each substantially parallel to the first predetermined path in order to define a substantially prism-shape region therebetween; and excavating material within the substantially prism-shape region to form a tunnel. In this way, data from drilling the first bore 10 and the plurality of second bores 20 can be recorded and used to inform operators as to the types of material through which they will be excavating. Thus, a more complete view of the underlying geology can be achieved before beginning excavations.
SUPERCRITICAL FLUID DRILLING AND BLASTING INTEGRATED DOUBLE-ARM DRILL JUMBO AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
A control method of a drill jumbo is provided. The drill jumbo includes a pre-splitting arm, a drill arm, and a chamber. The pre-splitting arm includes a positioning device, a fixing buckle, a longer rod, an electric telescopic rod, and a water injection opening. The chamber includes a constant pressure valve, an excitation circuit, and a port. A computer controls the positioning device to perform positioning, afterwards, the fixing buckle is opened, the telescopic rod is started, the longer rod is jacked into a position in the hole, and oil is injected into a hydraulic expansion capsule. After blocking of the hole is completed, water is injected into the water injection opening. The port is opened to inject a mixed-phase fluid. The port is closed, the excitation circuit is started, and after a pressure rises to a set value, the constant pressure valve is opened.
