In some aspects, the drive unit includes a switched reluctance motor including a stator and a rotor supported for rotation relative to the stator, and the rotor is directly coupled to the chuck.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR ESTIMATING THE HARDNESS OF A ROCK MASS
Systems and methods for estimating a hardness of a rock mass during operation of an industrial machine. One system includes an electronic processor configured to receive a rock mass model and to receive live drilling data from the industrial machine. The electronic processor is also configured to update the rock mass model based on the live drilling data and to estimate a drilling index for a hole based on the updated rock mass model. After estimating a drilling index for the hole, the electronic processor is also configured to set a blasting parameter for the hole based on the estimated drilling index.
Adjustable Drilling Rig
An adjustable drilling rig is provided for drilling and installation of foundational micropile matrices in difficult to access locations. A platform and separately adjustable legs are provided to level the platform. Arms and a crossbar mount to the legs, and each includes a bushing slidably mounted and moveable there along. A mast is slidably attached to the crossbar bushing through a mounting plate. The mast carries a drill head to which a drill will be attached. Various adjusters are mounted to bushings, mounting plate and other components of the adjustable drilling rig and are independently and selectively activated to adjust the drill head translationally along the X-, Y- and Z-axes and rotationally about the X- and Y-axes to achieve five degrees of freedom in five planes. The entire adjustable drilling rig is provided in two frames for easy transport to remote work sites and may be assembled without complex tools.
Method and device for making a hole in a golf green
Device (30) for making a hole in a golf green (100), comprising a cutting cylinder (4) with an open end being freely movable along the longitudinal direction; guide means (1) defining a weight path having a first endpoint and a second endpoint; a weight (5) guidedly movable along said weight path; a weight propulsion device, arranged to propel the weight reciprocally so that it strikes against the cutting cylinder; and a soil expulsion piston (9), movable inside said cutting cylinder.
The invention is characterised in that the device further comprises a piston driving mechanism, arranged to transfer a force from said weight is propulsion device to the piston to drive it towards said open end; and an expulsion activating mechanism, arranged to engage and disengage the piston driving mechanism in relation to the weight propulsion device.
The invention also relates to a method.
Method and apparatus for removing debris from a drill hole during drilling
A system for removing debris from a drill hole, the system comprising a drill rod, a first lumen extending through the drill rod, and a second lumen extending parallel to the first lumen; a drill bit for mounting to the drill rod, the drill bit being configured to form the drill hole; at least one air channel extending between the proximal end of the drill bit and the distal end of the drill bit, the at least one air channel being configured to be fluidically connected to the first lumen of the drill rod; at least one vacuum channel extending between the proximal end of the drill bit and the distal end of the drill bit, the at least one vacuum channel being configured to be fluidically connected to the second lumen of the drill rod; and a container fluidically connected to the second lumen of the drill rod.
Automatic digging adjustment system and method
A system and method for automatically digging a hole using a digger assembly on the end of a boom. A controller is configured to receive signals from a plurality of sensors distributed throughout the digging system, along the boom and the digger assembly. Based on the information from the sensors, the controller automatically adjusts one or more parameters of the digging system while digging the hole. The system and method prevent corkscrewing of the digging member, while also allowing for a specific hole depth and hole angle to be dug. Specifically, the system allows for easily and accurately digging a plumb hole.
SUPERCRITICAL FLUID DRILLING AND BLASTING INTEGRATED DOUBLE-ARM DRILL JUMBO AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
A control method of a drill jumbo is provided. The drill jumbo includes a pre-splitting arm, a drill arm, and a chamber. The pre-splitting arm includes a positioning device, a fixing buckle, a longer rod, an electric telescopic rod, and a water injection opening. The chamber includes a constant pressure valve, an excitation circuit, and a port. A computer controls the positioning device to perform positioning, afterwards, the fixing buckle is opened, the telescopic rod is started, the longer rod is jacked into a position in the hole, and oil is injected into a hydraulic expansion capsule. After blocking of the hole is completed, water is injected into the water injection opening. The port is opened to inject a mixed-phase fluid. The port is closed, the excitation circuit is started, and after a pressure rises to a set value, the constant pressure valve is opened.
