PICK, IN PARTICULAR A ROUND-SHANK PICK
The invention relates to a pick, in particular a round-shank pick, comprising a pick head and a pick shank, wherein the pick head consists of at least a base part and a cutting element, which is connected to the base part and is composed of a hard material, in particular hard metal, wherein the base part has a wear-resistant layer on the outer surface thereof at the connection to the cutting element, which wear-resistant layer covers at least one segment of the outer surface of the base part facing the cutting element and wherein an end face of the wear-resistant layer facing the cutting element is covered by the cutting element. According to the invention, the base part has an axially oriented cut-out for receiving a fastening segment of the cutting element, the base part has a counter surface facing the cutting element and extending around the cut-out, and the counter surface and the end face of the wear-resistant layer form a continuous flat surface. The invention further relates to two methods for producing such a pick. The pick formed in such a way has low abrasive wear.

Tool system
The invention relates to a tool for securing on a tool holder of a machine tool for machining vegetable and/or mineral materials, comprising a tool body which is equipped with a machining attachment that points in a tool feeding direction and comprises a cutting region, in particular a cutting element, and on which a fitting element for meshing with a mating element provided on the tool holder is formed on a support surface facing the tool holder. The dependability and operational reliability when using a machine tool can be ensured if the fitting element has at least two molded regions with different contour regions over the vertical course of the fitting element with respect to the support surface.

Washerless cutting tool assembly
A washerless cutting tool assembly includes a cutting tool holder and a rotatable cutting tool at least partially disposed within the cutting tool holder. The cutting tool holder includes an alignment feature in the form of a protrusion at an axial forward end and a groove at an axial rearward end of the head portion of the rotatable cutting tool. The groove is capable of receiving the protrusion of the cutting tool holder to align the central, longitudinal axis of rotatable cutting tool with the central, longitudinal axis of the cutting tool holder. The cutting tool assembly further includes a limited rotated feature in the form of a braking ring disposed within an annular groove and a retainer ring disposed over the braking ring.
Wear-resistant armored cutting tool
A wear-resistant armored cutting tool may be provided. The wear-resistant armored cutting tool may include a tool body, a bolster, at least one wear-resistant member, and a cutting tip. The bolster may be fixedly attached to the tool body with an end of a surface of the tool body disposed adjacent the bolster. The at least one wear-resistant member may be fixedly attached to the tool body. The at least one wear-resistant member may be disposed adjacent to the end of the surface of the tool body. The cutting tip may be fixedly attached to the bolster. The bolster, the at least one wear-resistant member, and the cutting tip may each have a material hardness which is greater than that of the tool body.
Cutting device with tapered cutting element
A cutting device for cutting rock includes a disc and a plurality of cutting elements secured to the disc. The disc is supported for rotation about an axis of rotation, and the disc includes a peripheral edge extending around the axis of rotation. The plurality of cutting elements are spaced apart along the peripheral edge of the disc and positioned in a cutting plane. Each of the cutting elements includes a base portion and a cutting portion including a cutting edge, and the cutting portion has a width that is larger than a width of the base portion.
